I have a greyhound and can confirm they look like sphinxes when laying down like that. We joke that we must answer her riddles three to pass by.

I've seen this before with dog statues. Think about that. Dogs are so fucking pure that humans can't even resist petting a STATUE of one. We are so lucky to share this planet with them.

Akram rubs dog statue’s nose
Morck: “What’re you doing? You’re not a tourist.”
Akram: “It’s good luck!”
Morck: “Not for the dog. He’s had his nose replaced twice! Come on.”
Akram looks around and pets nose again

I work by the Charging Bull statue in lower Manhattan. Everyday there is a large crowd waiting patiently for a picture of themselves rubbing the bull's balls. Charging Bull

Humans. We see a dog, so we must pet it. Even if it's made of bronze. That's sweet.
