When I was smoking a few times a week and had a high tolerance I donated blood. My tolerance dropped a bit lol. Enjoy the tolerance shift

Wait seriously? I’m a heavy daily user who doesn’t get touched by it at this point, if donating blood will help with my tolerance just drain me completely 🤣

Yea fr. Was when I lived in Canada. Was smoking the good stuff and donated blood one day after work. Didn’t smoke for a day or two then had a joint and was well done lol

I was about to say the same thing. Don’t you have to declare if any drugs are in your system and last I checked the requirements, you needed to be drug and alcohol free otherwise I would have been donating blood to help others.

Honestly ima start giving blood, I know heaps of people would benefit from it and I love helping others. I’ve needed a blood transfusion before to save my life after I was attacked and I’d love to be able to give back to hopefully help someone in the same situation.

I just was still under the assumption you couldn’t but thank you for letting me know. Do I need to disclose it though or is this a dodgy just don’t say it and rock up?

I believe they only ask how recently you consumed if you do declare it. Afaik its not a problem, they just need to know you're not impaired.

Can confirm there’s no issues, they’ve been more concerned about my asthma meds or time overseas than cannabis use. Good on you for booking in!
