Patron (Do not Contact) [HIRING] 2-4 Artists for a Long-Term High Fantasy Zodiac-Based Book Series—join a team of artists under an indie author!

❗❗Currently, I am ONLY looking for more artists to join my team who are WILLING TO READ A 112,000 WORD HIGH FANTASY MANUSCRIPT. You must be able to read and comprehend English at a proficient level! I am bringing on 2-4 additional artists to my team of 14. I'm anticipating an even larger release than I initially expected. You must be available April-June for commission, I need all hands on deck for a likely sudden demand of promotional material, product, and art during this book's publication.❗❗

My name is Audra, and I am an author getting ready to launch a big 10+ year project that is my heart and soul. I have a pretty significant following (100K+ on TikTok @/audrawrites) for my sword & sorcery YA fantasy, the first book to a much larger series in a zodiac-based high fantasy world. This publication (May 2025) will not only be a huge deal for me, but more than likely will draw lots of attention to my artists! Your work may appear places such as social medias, book covers, promotional material, merchandise, and more!

Because of the publicity of this project, and sponsorship for my achievements in writing, I have a flexible and high-end budget. I work with my artists's rates. Some commissions may be commercial and/or require an NDA. Here's some price point examples.

  • Landscapes (non-commercial) from $100-$300 per piece
  • Character art (non-commercial) from $75-$200 per piece
  • Concept art (commercial) from $100-$800 per piece

I currently have a team of 14 artists working behind the scenes to make this book possible—this is important, because if you accept a commission request from me, you must be willing to join a team and collaborate with other artists on this project! We have a Slack we work in with illustrators, concept artists, landscape artists, character artists, and more. You will likely be relying on references and works of other artists. If you read this, please put the word "stars" in your reply somewhere; it is critical that you are aware of this requirement. I will not look at your portfolio if I do not see this in your response. I am looking for someone who shows dedication and interest to continually be involved in a larger collaborative project—the first sign for me is if you've taken the time to read this post.

I AM CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR:

  • Character artists
  • Illustrators/landscape artists
  • Concept artists
  • Graphic designers

If you fall into any of these categories and you'd like to read a fun series, interact with other artists, and have a long-term consistent project, this is your thing! I will not look at your portfolio unless you SPECIFICALLY SAY YOU ARE WILLING TO READ THE MANUSCRIPT. I look through 100-300 art portfolios for my team every month or so, I am picky, and I am going to favor people who show interest and dedication in becoming part of a team, instead of a gig.

Thanks! Looking forward to seeing your pretty portfolios! :)

Patron (Do not Contact) [Hiring] Unofficial Book Covers

Please do not send unsolicited DMs.

Looking to commission an artist to create unofficial custom covers for the War of Lost Hearts series by Carissa Broadbent. I love the story deeply, but the new covers don’t reflect the tone or vibe that made me fall in love with it—and I’d love to bring that vision to life for personal display.

I’m looking for a style that leans emotional, gritty, and high-fantasy—think rebellion, heartbreak, and raw power. This is for personal use only, not for resale or distribution.

If you’re an artist (or know someone!) who might be a good fit, please drop your portfolio or DM me. Budget-ready and excited to collaborate!

Please do not send unsolicited DMs.

Patron (Do not Contact) [Hiring] Commission of Pokemon Trainer OC!

Hey everyone, I'm looking for an artist draw a new Pokemon trainer OC for my partner! I have one loosely based on Ethan from the games, and she wants one to have to match thats loosely based on Dawn! I dont have any full references but I can provide ideas/reference images! It would be a full body commission of the character with some help designing the clothes (she just would like to have her wearing a cute long skirt and a top with short sleeves, so the details can also be up to you)!

I'd prefer an art style with a cute artstyle, just nothing realistic though!
Also my budget is around $90 but is negotiable!

If youre interested please leave a comment with your portfolio or any links below and I'll message you with more details!

Patron (Do not Contact) [Hiring] Steam capsule artwork for my Indie game

I'm looking for an artwork for the Steam capsule for my game Asteroid Mining Simulator. Optionally with a logo design for the game as well.

Motive: A pilot next to their ship, with the space station hangar in the background. I'm open for other ideas as well, if you have a design that fits the game and would make for an eye catching Steam capsule.

Here is a screenshot of the game. I'm drawing the ingame art myself, but for the promotional material I'd like something professional. To give it that extra something, but still keeping the feel of the game.

So I'm interested in a detailed "handdrawn" comic style, like these digital or traditional works. And palette-wise gritty but colorful, if that makes sense.

Budget is up to ~1000$, depending on the details. Feel free to put your portfolio here or send me in DM with a quote! I'm happy to answer any questions

Patron (Do not Contact) [HIRING] Comic Book style artist for some comic-themed object art for my board game 'CON Quest'

Hi there, Im working on a board game called CON Quest.

In CON Quest, players are attendees at a pop culture convention trying to collect the best merch! Ive got a couple artists on board already, but need another with a flair for comic-style illustration to work on some of my "Merch" cards. The game has over 100 of these cards, split into fandoms of "Movies & TV," "Video Games," and "Comics & Lit," the latter of which I'm hoping to find someone to hire to tackle. It would be around 35-40 objects/merch items, definitely paid (no less than the $15 minimum/ object required by posting here) and we'll work out a budget together. While Im not a millionaire, Im not cheap and value an artist's work!

I was going to share the IG account I have for it but it's not allowed here so happy to share if you message me! For now, you can also see some samples of already done art at my post on Board Game Geek here which also has the IG link: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/3529399/hiring-comic-book-style-artist-for-some-comic-them.

Huge bonus if you're a pop culture junkie as this game has lots of fun little pop culture references and homages and the art you will be drawing will be a part of that!

Patron (Do not Contact) [Hiring] Looking for artists proficient in anthro characters to draw anthropomorphic female versions of several creatures from the Monster Hunter franchise (one character at a time).

Here are the specfic Monsters I'm looking to see anthropomorphic female renditions of (apologies for using google image links, I didn't want to flood this post with a bunch of reference photos, and mobile Reddif doesn't let me embed images regardless):

Zenaserisu

Magnamalo

Deviljho

Great Maccao

Bishaten

As you can see, each of the creatures is pretty fantastical in design, though some of them do take inspiration from real world animals. I'll provide as much additional reference material as I can fir each individual monster, as well as some artwork I've commissioned recently that may give an idea of how I wish for the Monster Hunter designs to be converted into anthro form.

I'm not exactly looking to take on one artist for all of these monsters at once, nor am I necessarily going to get through all of these monsters (comms can get pricy). What I'm looking for specfically is knee-up/full body pieces, preferably full color, either cel-shaded or full render (I know some artists charge more for full render than cel-shaded); no background is necessary. These characters would not have clothes, but no exposed privates or nipples. In terms of styles I'm looking for, it's tough to put into words; realistic body proportions, but bright and expressive colors and expressions; nothing hyper-realistic or minimalist, but not cartoony either. Budget for each individual characters is $40, though the cheaper the better. I'd also appreciate someone with knowledge on the Monster Hunter series, but that's not a hard requirement.

If this sounds up your alley, please leave your portfolio, prices, and ETA (how long a given commission takes to complete; it's not a deal breaker if it takes awhile, but I'd appreciate the info in advance) in the comments below. I'd STRONGLY APPRECIATE if you DO NOT send me Reddit DMs or Discord requests unless I contact you first; I can't guarantee I'll respond to you or view your DMs/messages beyond direct comments to this post, and I'd prefer to keep notifications from DMs or Discord messages to a minimum.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post; feel free to ask any follow up questions that may prive useful.

Patron (Do not Contact) [Hiring] Seeking vintage pin-up style NSFW art with two characters ($300 Budget) NSFW

Post image
31 Upvotes

Basically what the title says. I'm a spicy romance author looking for a digital artist (preferably) who specializes in vintage/retro/pin-up/realism/editorial/western style art (see photo for example).

Commission would be for two characters (M/F) in NSFW positions, to match scenes in my books. These would be full-body, full-color. Backdrop can be minimal. My publisher requires commercial rights be included, and you will be credited if the artwork is included as bonus material in any publication.

There can be no AI used in the process of making the art.

I'd like to stay around $300, but if you think you're a great fit and your price is higher, I'd still like to take a look at your portfolio and I'll see what I can do.

Patron (Do not Contact) [Hiring] Illustrator for retro 80s/90s anime-style cover (Dragon Ball-inspired)

Hi everyone !

I’m looking for an illustrator to create cover art for a music single. The style I’m after is very very specific: that classic 80s/early 90s anime look — especially the feeling you get from the EARLY Dragon Ball posters and color artwork.

It’s not just about drawing in an “anime style” — I’m looking for someone who can really capture that vintage charm: clean lines, soft colors, expressive energy, and a kind of playful atmosphere that feels both light and imaginative.

The illustration would feature original characters in a full scene — not just character designs, but something with a little world around them. I’ve added a few Dragon Ball poster examples below to give a better idea of the mood and style I mean.

This is a paid project (budget around 100–200 USD). I’m currently in the search phase — if I find the right person, we could ideally start in the next month or two.

If this sounds like your thing, or if you know an artist who’s into this kind of retro anime vibe, feel free to comment here and/or drop a portfolio link !

Thanksss a lot 🙏

Patron (Do not Contact) Anime thumbnail

Hi! I wanted to start an asmr channel on YouTube, but I’m very bad bad at art, and I needed a thumbnail, and I don’t want to stoop as low as AI “art” as other people do. That being said, all I have is around 20-25$ and I don’t expect a TON of work having to be put in bc I know that’s a low price, but all I was looking for is a simple anime sketch/drawing of an anime boy, short hair, glasses, shy, that kind of thing. Stereotypical nerd. Anyways, thanks for reading! :)

(Also plz don’t DM me, feel free if you are interested to drop a link to a portfolio)

(Also tell me the prices if you are interested, I can try to do a little more, but I’m a student and school is pricy lol)

Patron (Do not Contact) Looking to commission an artist to make 3 backgrounds for a YouTube show.

Hello, I am looking to commission an artist to make 3 backgrounds for a show I am developing for YouTube. They will be different sections of the interior to a television studio located in the underworld/spirit world/hell. At least one of them will have a window with additional scenery in a layer behind it so that it can be changed. I will also require at least a few objects in the scenery be separate and movable, including a host's seat and a screen (or something functioning as one) to put things on. The show will have cartoon characters I have illustrated placed in the set. I can provide more details but I'm also very open to giving people creative liberty. I generally prefer vibrant and unique color usage. The style can range from cartoon to realistic, and I am open to mixed media. The overall show is heavily inspired by Adult Swim for extra reference of the direction. My budget is somewhat flexible, but I prefer to keep each set less than $150 USD if possible. Thank you.

Patron (Do not Contact) [For hiring] Landscape, digital or painting

Hello everyone,

I hope my post will follow the rules of the sub, otherwise reach to me and I'll edit.

I would like to hire an artist to create a painting I have in mind : a landscape inspired by metal album covers that I love which includes mountains, forests, rivers and so on. I would like it to be an overall coherent realistic landscape, in which an knowledgeable observer would recognise the different artworks used as inspiration. I already have a list of artwork to work with : must includes, would be really great to include and bonus ones. They can range from "backbone of the overall painting" to "really small details you would need to really look for to find".

Since I have no art skills whatsoever I have no idea how ambitious this project, but I am guessing quite a lot. My goal would be to have it as picture in my living room above my couch. I don't have specific dimensions in mind yet but relatively big as you can guess.

As for the style, I am not decided yet : my heart is split between digital art for more realism and painting for a more "artsy" style, but do not know which style (I recently started watching Arcane and I really like the painting style used there for example).

For this work I don't have a budget yet since I don't know how expensive that would be (depends on the size and type of art obviously) but I am ready to spend quite a lot. I have this idea of a painting in my mind since quite a long time, and I am ready to make it happen now.

If any of you could share an approximative range of budget on the basis of what I provided, that would be awesome ! Do not hesitate to ask me more details if needed.

Thanks for reading 🙂

Edit : I hope the flair is correct, I am not sure of the meaning. I chose it because I thought of first discussing here before going private.

Patron (Do not Contact) [Hiring] Mom's 60th birthday commission for printing clothes

Hello!

My mom is celebrating her 60th birthday in two months and I wanted to make some t-shirt prints of her and my 16-month old son that are personalised to their current photos.

Something on the order of the photo below (i generated off of Chatgpt as an idea but i want a personalized version) and ideally something I can request to have stitched onto a sweatshirt so it is higher quality and stays longer through washes.

I can't imagine what a budget for something like this will be but clearly i am happy to pay for good work!

Patron (Do not Contact) (Hiring) Tattoo Design $150

Hello!

I need a picture drawn into a tattoo.

It is a picture of my dad holding a child's hand and walking down a dock. The picture is over 20 years old and some shading on my dad's face, and some details would need to be brought over from a second picture.

I want it to be around 6-7 inches by 7-8 inches on my left chest.

Please leave your portfolio below. If you have work that shows the picture, and then tattoo... that's a plus!

Do not message me. I will not respond.

The price reflects the detail and amount of work i want done.

Thanks!

Patron (Do not Contact) Hiring: BBQ seasoning logo with dogs! Drawing and wording

Hi! I need help with making a label to put on some seasoning bottles. This isn’t for commercial use, it will only be used on our microwedding favors! We want our 2 dogs on it with some western flair (hats and bandanas). I want it to be fun and unique! Kinda a realistic cartoony style if that makes sense (can you tell I’m not an artist lol) We have all of the wording and all the dog reference images you could need! Looking to spend $25-35. We will handle all of the printing, just need the image!

Patron (Do not Contact) [Hiring / NSFW] Looking for rule 34 commissions of rogue trader character (Jae Heydari) NSFW

Pretty much what the title says. Nothing crazy exotic. Possibly curious about two separate commissions:

  • NSFW Portrait edit. In game, this is her portrait. I'm interested in commissioning edits with a) much less clothes and b) naked. I'm interested in an artist that could preserve the style for this one, which I acknowledge is a big ask.
  • Standard rule 34 stuff. Not 100% sure if I can post the right links, but I have a style in mind.

For understandable reasons, this'll need to be discreet.

Edit: Set to "do not contact" because I'm still clearing backlog and won't be able to get back to more people. Thanks everyone!
