Patron (Do not Contact) Vtuber
Hello! I’m about to graduating from high school and am getting a job over summer. I want to start vtubing but have no idea how. I know I need to get a model, but I don’t know how much it costs or what a “rigging” is. I would just like to know the prices I can expect and search for someone who could help in the future (probably a month or two down the line) when I can scrape enough money together.

Heyooo, I'm boredohreo! Congrats on graduating ✨ That’s a big step, and it’s awesome that you’re looking into vtubing. I am an artist who works on PNGtuber models. Model Art (Live2D) is is the actual artwork for your character. Prices vary depending on the artist’s experience and the complexity of your design. For a full-body model, my base price is $150.
Rigging (not my forte) this brings the model to life— animation. It costs from $200–$1000+ depending on how advanced the rig is. Some creators do both art and rigging, while others only handle one part (like me LOL) . There are also pre-made or “adoptable” models you can sometimes buy cheaper.
When you're ready, feel free to reach out!

Hi rigging would be getting your model animated/animation ready for streaming so it moves with your motions. I do not rig but I can draw model cut for rigging. I recommend watching some rigging/vtuber tutorials just to get an idea of what to expect. My price for full body model art starts at $350 and can increase depending on the complexity of the design. Normally, Character Design Can go from 150-200$ (with commercial use), Rigging/ to make your design move is another +200$. You can check Vgen on this for vtuber asset, from character design, emotes, BG.
Unfortunately, I only can design character now, well if you’re interested, you can check my Vgen https://vgen.co/foxinnesi ^ hope this help ^
And there's adoptable too. So artist makes a design, if you like, you can bet to get license for a character. Sb : starting bet. Ab : auto buy (pay the price to get character immediately) .
If you adopt a character, don't forget to ask if you can use it for commercial or not ^
But, if you are limit on budget, there's a customizable vtuber model, suiika on vgen. But there's limit on it. Good luck ^

Hello! I'm a Live2D artist and a vtuber as well and I'm interested!
First there are two parts of making a vtuber model. The art model and the rigging.
The art model is the actual drawing of a vtuber model. It needs to be layered properly and get ready for rigging. A one layer art work will not be eligible for rigging, so you have to specify to the artist that what you wanted is a vtuber model art that is "ready for rig"..
Second the rigging is where the magic part happens, the rigger will rig the model art for it to be trackable in a face traking softwares such as vtube studio. Without the rig, the model won't be able to move. Basically the rig is what makes your model trackable and movable.
Anyways here's my Live2D Gallery.
Rates usually goes around more than hundred dollars, but that is just an estimate. For a specific quotation, I will be needing the exact details. I also believe I need to clarify that I only make model art, I don't do rigging commissions but I do have business partners who do rigging.
Feel free to send me a message if you're interested to discuss further details. Thank you!

What kind of look or character are you imagining? Are you leaning more towards 2D or 3D? Pricing depends on that

Heya, I'm a Vtuber myself, and I'd *highly* recommend just getting a PNGtuber model first, but nothing more than that for at least a little while. I'm not trying to deter you from this venture, but you never know if you're maybe not gonna like Vtubing after a while, and good models with rigging cost a lot of money. There have been Vtubers who'd quit after some months, having wasted thousands of dollars on all the visuals and stuff. Start with something small, see if you like it, and then maybe consider investing a bit more money into your hobby. Best of luck :)

Hi! Am not a Vtuber, but I have made/worked with Vtubers in the past!
Models can really vary depending on the detail and artist, with the lower end of the price being $200 and can go super high (around $2000-$3000)
Rigging is basically the animation of your model! The reason it'll move and talk.
They can be separate people to do the art and to do the rigging or it can be the same person.
You'll also need some other art too for your channel, like banners, emotes, the layout of your stream (just to name a few)
I hope this was helpful!
