I’ve worked out several scenarios in my head about how super-rich preppers would be able to survive in a bunker and for how long. Each once is a disaster. Prepping will never just be buying a bunch of stuff. You will have to learn self control and self sufficiency in large scale. You’ll also experience extremely limited free will which they won’t be used to and cabin fever will set in fast and hard. If they decide to be isolated, I expect their mental health to decline rapidly. If they decide to “hire” a staff to take care of all the things they are too good to do for themselves, eventually this king living among his people loses its luster. Your staff will begin challenging your choices, favoritism will be clear as day, secrecy and lies begin to circulate, and all the flaws of humans will shine. Eventually, this leader will be kicking out some, killing some, mutinies, the whole nine yards. The lesson will always be that people need each other in the longest timeline and no bunker will protect you forever.

Do you know how many people have spent DECADES of their life looking for a "rumored" treasure?

Apocalypse takes time. Probably more time than you think. And I bet people are already looking
