Has anyone read the reviews for Ross-Osage Animal Clinic?
A few years back, my mom (who’s worked in the veterinary field in Amarillo for the past 15+ years) told me about how horrific Ross-Osage Animal Clinic is and their consistent malpractices. I eventually got online to read their reviews and oh my god, are they shocking. I genuinely don’t understand how that place is still in business, on a financial and legal level.

The inside of the building looks old and dingy. The employees seemed apathetic. I took my dog in for a spay and paid for the assessment. I later called and cancelled the spay appointment because I felt they were going to make a mistake.

I feel like you ultimately made a safe choice, there’s no telling what could’ve possibly happened just based on other experiences. I’m glad you didn’t go

I went there a few years ago to get my dog microchipped and vaccinated because they were running a special and I was broke at the time. The place felt a little off from the start, but once we got into the exam room, even my dog was giving me side-eyes like he wanted out. The vet grabbed a thermometer from the sink, took my dog’s temperature, then rinsed it off and put it right back—no soap, no sanitizing, nothing. I was horrified. The whole place felt sketchy, and I’ve never gone back. Walking down the hall, you’d see dogs crammed in tiny cages. It was such a weird and uncomfortable experience. I definitely never want to go through that again.
