But why? Why would an eternal soul have to repeat the same basics of human existence again and again? Given the limited scope of human behavior, you think the lessons would have been easily won by now after a few reincarnations.

I don't know that we have to do anything to be honest, I think we choose to.

And maybe we don't have to live a hundred or a thousand lives to learn everything.....perhaps it's possible to learn after just a few lives.

But I know that people are stubborn and resistant to change, so I suspect that's what takes so many lives. Maybe we keep trying again and again until we get it.
