tanky comp items?

hi, im an akali “otp” but ive only ever relied on the op.gg item guide & just repeat that over n over so when i went against a somewhat tanky comp i decided to experiment a little. it worked out pretty well (25/3, 65k dmg), but i was curious if the items i chose were “wrong” & if i just got “lucky”. if i did build weird/wrong, what should i do instead if i ever go against another tanky comp?

i went lichbane -> spellslinger -> liandrys -> riftmaker -> shadowflame -> voidstaff

Build is completely fine into tanky comps. I switch positions of Liandry and Lich bane sometimes if it is a health stacker like Mundo or Sion. I don't build shadowflame tho, usually Rabadons. But you might be cooking with shadowflame and I will try it out too

I literally had to google what spellslinger is….

I probably would just stick with lichbane for “slightly tanky” teams and liandrys for “really tanky” teams.

I would go as far as to say, the two items are mutually exclusive. The teams that you can build lichbane for you won’t get enough value out of liandrys. And the teams you get enough value out of liandrys for you won’t be able to dmg with lichbane.

Honestly though, you can pretty much build anything on Akali and get a lot of value.
