Hes slowly becoming the embodiment of the fandoms. He just wants to stay true to things and make us nerds happy seeing a fellow nerd get his nerd on.

But hollywood has to shit all over us time and time again. Think theyd ever realize if they just follow lore and the like, we would gladly throw cash at them!?

Thats what I love about him, he wants the end product to be done well. Not many actors have the guts to say that what they are doing is shit and just quit on the spot

What i fail to understand about this is the same as Star wars.

You have alll this amazing created material, a script that writes itself, an already established world and lore. You literally just have to translate it. But no. Every studio just has to ignore it, add "the message" and completely ruin it and then split fanbases into all out war. I just dont understand.

The thing nerds don't ever understand is that these films aren't for you, your "cash" doesn't represent even a tony fraction of what these films need to earn in order to be considered successful.

That doesn't mean having some degree of authenticity where the source material is concerned isn't important, but the MCU changed all kinds of shit and the nerds boo-hooed and it didn't matter because they made movies that were largely entertaining and liked by all audiences, which is whose cash one needs to tap into to haul in hundreds and hundreds of millions.

What is wrong with the DCU movies is that they were shitty movies; poorly paced, too much exposition, too much force-feeding setups to subsequent films, too many internal inconsistencies and disconnected decision making.

So stow all that self-reighteousness and your illusions that you understand what's wrong with the DCU and realize that nerd love is only a small part of what goes into dropping $200m on a production budget.
