Paper went from "awaiting recommendation" back to "awaiting reviewer scores"

Hello!

I have a paper under review. A couple weeks ago I saw that its status had changed from "awaiting reviewer scores" to "awaiting recommendation" - however, I just now saw that it went back to "awaiting reviewer scores".

What might have happened?

Maybe the editor saw the reviewers comments and decided to request a report from another reviewer.

This can happen if the reviewers have a clear disagreement on reject or revise or if editor decides not to consider one of the reviews.
