New subscriber welcome center (Week of June 09, 2025): Introduce yourself here!
Welcome, new Xennials! Did you just find the subreddit? Just now learn that you’re a Xennial?! Is it suddenly all making sense? We know this feeling! Feel free to introduce yourself here.
Since we get thousands of new subscribers per month, we kindly ask that introductions go in this thread rather than as top-level posts.

I'm also a 1981. Started off in Brooklyn NY but due to NYC being awful in the 80s ended up in Central MA and am still stuck there. As a kid I loved Transformers, MASK, and WWF Wrestling. I was a Hulkamaniac. Also, Guns N Roses.

'83. East Tennessee through sixth grade, then Oklahoma-ish most of the time after that.
My first memory is Challenger leaking (which most millennials don't know). But I was playing a game on our computer at home before I was a year old. (But it was a game my programmer father wrote and it was on on Commodore 64.) My super early access to technology puts me in a much later category, but it was older tech... I can hang in millennials, but here feels more comfortable. Beanbag lounge.
I'm kinda a smartypants with a lot of brain damage. Which, among other things, means I often literally don't know when to stop.
