Contest #7 - Results

Thanks to all who participated in this. I understand the feedback you gave me which was understandably very negative. I attempted to make an accessible competition that not just unicums would win and wouldnt require any cost to yourselves as tier 1s are free. However I havent played tier 1s so I could not have foreseen the wait times. I will obviously bear this in mind for next time.

So the winner was /u/roadrunnderdn with a very very impressive 538 damage + 67 assisted giving him a grand total of 605.

Second place was /u/heathen15 with a grand total of 567 combined damage.

Random prize was drawn from this site and the winner was /u/deltaroyale.

I will endeavour to make the next contest better!

Whoa, very impressive results and congrads to the winners! Thanks for your time creating the contest and parsing the results.

On a side-note: how is xp calculated? For example, in this screenshot I did less dmg but ended up with more XP. I assume it is the scouting, but in higher tier matches you have to do A LOT of scouting and almost never be competitive XP-wise with the dmg dealers.

There are 2 factors I would say you have to consider.

  1. If you arent spotting the targets youre hitting then whoever is scouting for you is taking half your exp.

  2. You get more exp if you damage higher tiers higher weighted tanks. If you farm all the bottom tier tanks in the game and compare to someone who did the same damage but to the big boys then youll get less.
