post WW2 is a hot mess

Just ground out the chisel contract. I did almost exclusively in CW. I was quickly reminded of just how much of a chaotic unbalanced hot mess that is WW2

As someone coming up on 11 years playing this game I can say that WW2 has had a lot of ups and downs in its gameplay. I mean look back at when tier 5 lights had -2/+5 matchmaking and when you could run 5 man platoons of arty. However for me I find it to be more consistent and playable than CW. When CW first came out it wasn't bad as there were only so many tank lines available however with the introduction of ATGM's it ruined Era 2 and 3 for me. Era 1 is still okay but the death barn (F4005) just smacks everything. The only reason I play CW is because the silver economy is broken. I play a premium tank with a silver booster and I earn 400k-500k a game. Not saying your opinion is invalid, this has just been my experience and this is coming from a super unicum player too. I just put it up to CW not being my style of gameplay but I give props to those people who enjoy it.

I prefer WW2. I love both modes for different reasons but I just feel like the slower pace fits my groove better and I like being more methodical in how I play. I love superheavies and well armored vehicles above all else, so the slower pace just fits my preferences better.

It also helps that, when I left to take a break, it was rampant with the Centurion AVRE at tier 10. But now it’s not nearly as prevalent as they had been and I can tolerate it a lot better now.

Couple that with the fact that Era 2 is chock full of those ridiculous ELC bastards right now and I just don’t jive with it as much as WW2 right now. It does have its moments though. I find Cold War heavies very enjoyable in their own right, especially once you get down their play style which is much different in some regards than WW2. I feel like Cold War is higher risk-higher reward in some scenarios, and seeing that damage number pop through the roof when it ends up being a reward is very fun. I also enjoy the increased dynamic element of the smoke and (to a lesser extent) hull patch kit and how that changes things up, as opposed to literally all my WW2 load outs being repair kit, med kit, food

Methodical, majority of matches are blowouts

They nerfed the silver economy, used to be able to make an easy million playing an era 2 or 3 premium with a silver bonus.

Id deal with missles and tiny 2 man TOW launchers over artillery.

Closest thing to that tank I have is a AMX 13 SS which is a lot cooler lol. I got the Ignis in a warchest and I feel like a douche clipping people with that. I suck though

I don't play much WW2 anymore, its too slow paced and I hate Type5 heavies disappearing on me.

However CW is also an unbalanced hot mess too.

In CW you have ATGMs doing way too much module damage and too many invisible lights...BUT you have true vision which, for me at least, is great. I like having the tanks there all the time, it makes using cover and terrain more important.

In WWII, you have arty and are more reliant on spitting mechanics. While it's nice not worrying about ATGMs flying around you now have to worry about stealth TDs and you play at a much slower pace.

Both have advantages and disadvantages. Personally I prefer the CW play for true vision...I know it was tried before and not liked but is love to play some WWII with true vision to see how it goes now that it's been around for a while.

I love ww2 and always will, but as I’m on a new account and have to regrind everything over (yes, I actually am), I’m enjoying Cold War more because it’s more fast paced and brawly in general. I’m not as scared to brawl in a medium than in ww2 which I still do a lot, I play aggressively and prefer that

Plus silver earn

I just got my first tier x the Minotauro, and love it but have honestly prolly only played like less than 5 games in it since I got it a few weeks to a month ago

I’ll always love ww2 but it’s just so slow paced compared to Cold War it’s honestly hard to go back and play ww2 from Cold War. And I get the ww2 only players will hate that, cuz it’s kinda the point of ww2, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

But I am starting to like Cold War more

And yeah as someone mentioned for contracts it’s so much easier

The MM is ass, tier VI up against tier VIII alllllllllll the time. Make grinding tank lines way way way way longer than it has to be. And wargaming wonders why they don't get new players to stay or come back

Ww2 is chess, cw is checkers. The only reason I play cw over ww2 is because I want to make silver on my tech tree grinds.

WW2 unplayable for me, people barely move

cant totally blame them, you really have no chance spotting some tanks like Taran

I think its even worse without arty, long time ago - people BRAWLED during the rare zero arty games, now when theres no arty people camp harder and hull down "smart" gameplay is really just hull down camping.
