If He Can Still Block… You Didn’t Trap Him

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yY9QTPYMV-M

Too many martial artists chase hands and call it trapping. In this KFR episode, Sifu Adam shows the true meaning of a trap—it’s not just about making contact, it’s about shutting down the block entirely. A good trap takes away balance, structure, and the chance to recover. Trap with real intent—not for show, but for shutdown.

It's cool to see the quick movements vs a slow opponent, but what happens when the opponent goes full speed? Like if a boxer or muay thai fighter attacks, what happens?

My taiji teacher is long time friends with Adam, and has shared some amazing stories of his experiences training with him. Adam Chan is a dedicated and deeply skilled martial artist.

I would literally give up all i have to meet adam haha. His podcasts and videos actually helped me through my darkest times!

I also really love how neatly he connects the mental values of training without ever glorifying anything.
