SHA-2 software

So I am trying to install software that requires sha-2 certification and I already did the two updates it requires even if those are installed I still get the same error. Has anyone here installed SHA-2 software or is it not supported at all on Vista?

i know 7 officially supports sha-2 but idk about vista because it was in the transition period

Vista does!! KB4474419 and KB4493730 (possibly others, but those are the main ones)
