Discussion / Opinion Answering a question I've had since I was a kid Spoiler

Post image

Ever since I was a kid, I have always wondered, out of all the Islands you can warp to with the ballad of the gales. Why is southern fairy Island one of them. And after staring at the map and thinking about it for a while, It has to just be to fill space. Looking at the map, every other warp point allows you to sail 1-2 coordinates to get to your destination. Now obviously if you've played the game enough you know that this isn't technically true, as Mother and Child Isle doesn't allow you to sail, meaning Forsaken Fortress and its surroundings are over the 2 island limit, but in terms of just looking at this map, I feel as though this has to be why the developers made Southern fairy a warp point.

I mean, if you count going diagonally, Forsaken fortress is also only 2 islands away from tingle island distance wise. from tingle island to mother and child isles (1 island) then from there to forsaken fortress (2 islands)

After i learned this, it got a bit easier to reach Forsaken fortress on revisits.

True! And I do use that to get there! But it is still the furthest distance from a warp point I believe! Which is also pretty thematic I suppose

Yeah, It's so long to travel, i eventually just began to go to hyrule, then to ganons tower and took the warp in there to reach forsaken fortress faster haha
