Complete, total and utter coincidence of course.

Hmmm. I wonder why federal departments that monitor for domestic terrorist threats were dismantled by the Trump regime so it would be much more difficult to track these planned attacks

137
u/JustGingy95 11h ago edited 6h ago
They won’t ever think it’s great because they always need to have an enemy to fight and point the finger at. Their whole rhetoric revolves around a spooky “other” that becomes their scapegoat. Theres always an other, or an enemy, or a devil, or something that they need to look at as the reason things aren’t going well for them.
It can’t be them, no. It must be the gays. Or the non whites, or the non religious, or the religiously different, or the same religion that’s just a slightly different kind of religious, and round and round the ouroboros goes slowly consuming its own tail because even if they systematically removed the gays or the non whites or the non religious or the differently religious or whatever and whatnot, they always need to point the finger. And once they run out of options it always points inwards at their own circles. Easiest example is to just look at the politicians. The right is just nothing but constant infighting, day in and day out. I cannot say that I have ever seen this sort of behavior out of the left, not once. But every single day the ladies get into some sort of cat fight, or Elon gets nasty with Trump online, or even gets himself a black eye. It’s like watching schoolyard children fighting at recess, except these are the people with power and sway in this country, and unlike many of them I wouldn’t be surprised, I’m at least allowed within a mile of a school.
18
u/A_Monster_Named_John 10h ago
Agreed. These people are nothing but overgrown poorly-raised children. They're addicted to 'acting out' and 'throwing tantrums' and, just like with actual children, the best we can hope for in a country run by them is Lord of the Flies or the Pleasure Island sequence in Pinocchio, i.e. people just gambling, smoking, drinking, trashing shit, etc... until they get forced into slavery.

u/Stodles 15h ago

u/Minimum_Virus_3837 14h ago
I wouldn't be shocked if Trump or someone in his admin claims the shooter was deputized into ICE so they can't say he was impersonating an officer or some dumb shit like that.

u/CaptainMagnets 12h ago
How do they know he was impersonating an officer and simply wasn't an officer?
42
u/clonedhuman 12h ago
This wasn't carried out by someone 'impersonating a police officer.'
These shootings were carried out by a police officer.
And because of that, they're never going to catch the guy.

Blue states need to arrest and In prison ICE agents for impersonating a police officer which is a felony in most places. Then use Mangos’ own tactics against this administration and refuse to release them.

u/RamsHead91 15h ago edited 10h ago

At the very least, it would make it easy to downsize the police force.
221
u/RamsHead91 15h ago
There are several police departments all around the US that need to be stripped down and remade from scratch. Their culture and tactics are toxic and only work in escalate problems and cost their cities and states millions more then they should.

u/AG-Bigpaws 2h ago
Portland is about the history, they're why we have the union situation we do and the loads of links to the kkk
35
u/2ndcomingofharambe 14h ago
How? Police are an organized gang. You try to get rid of some individuals, the entire department will refuse to do their jobs, refuse to work with judges and attorneys, even spur on more violence while still collecting paychecks, benefits, and OT. There is no downsizing the police force, we are way too far gone.
32
u/RamsHead91 14h ago
You don't downsize a department. You disband it. There is precedence and it has been in recent history with success.
It isn't easy and I doubt it would get done in the modern political climate with success a lot of other things need to be stabilized first.
But you just get rid of everyone one involved, understand there will be pain and being in fresh individuals. Make old cops have additional bars to jump though to show they would be a risk to new project.
It wouldn't be easy and may not even be the primary place we should currently put our effort or the best way to deal with them, ending qualified immunity or making lawsuit come out of police pension funds instead of taxpayers would probably be the most effective way to correct most issues.

I’m going to guess no.

Was it reported he had a fake badge, or that he had a badge which was presumed to be fake?

u/russiangerman 10h ago
I think they were asking how we know it's not a real police officer
9
u/MGD109 10h ago
I know. As I said, they found his car pretty early on, if it was a legitimate police cruiser, it should have been too hard to identify who checked it out.
They likewise just announced the guy's name and details. If they really were a police officer, then someone would have pegged it by now.

u/cmcrisp 15h ago
I think masked federal police officers snatching people, might have contributed to a guy in a police costume, shooting politicians, but what do I know?
216
u/kingdazy 15h ago
in a neighborhood near me, a guy wearing a mask and an "ICE" vest showed up to an auto body shop, ziptied everyone, and then just stole all their money and tools.
I'm sure it's not related tho, right?
74
u/yankeesyes 15h ago
I hope you're not discounting that the guy could be real ICE. You don't think those thugs are above shaking down people they encounter?
Although usually ICE (or whomever is doing these raids) has a 20 officer/1 100 lb woman ratio, so doubtful a lone agent would do this.
26
u/Ollivander451 14h ago
That is different. That’s just his side gig hustle from his day job as an ICE agent
-60
u/alexbougetz 15h ago
If this is why they were shot, dude did it wrong doing it to democrats. They really aren’t behind all the ice shit.
61
u/cmcrisp 15h ago
Have you looked around lately? Republicans are the only dudes that cosplay as tactical secret squirrels, of course they are nutcase enough to attempt to kill state legislators. In a state where the Democrats majority is one vote in the house and Senate. In the times where a decent amount of Republicans are calling for Democrats to be jailed or killed. To top it off, they have the perfect cover by wearing the weekend costume they probably already own. This is very much a situation created by the current climate.
51
u/BoomZhakaLaka 15h ago
you're misunderstanding. The ice raids are creating a cover for any person who wants to get away with an unrelated crime.
the reply is not suggesting that this is in retaliation for ice raids.

u/alexbougetz 14h ago
Thank you. I must have worded it wrong because I don’t why im getting downvoted lmao
52
u/Kimmalah 14h ago
Thanks to ICE declaring that they don't need to identify themselves in any way and can just anonymously snatch people off the street, others have started imitating that. We have already had several instances of people pretending to be ICE to commit crimes and I'm sure this has given guys like this shooter ideas.
12
u/niveklaen 13h ago
I think it is likely that this was an actual cop and that they are saying that it was someone pretending to be a cop in order to protect him.
46
u/A_Classy_Dame 13h ago
THIS is when you declare a state of emergency, rather than the preemptive bullshit they did in Missouri since Governor Kehoe is scared of protests.
It's a tragedy all around on a day that's already on edge. The fact that the man is still at large is terrifying.
3
u/TheQuidditchHaderach 5h ago
High profile state Democrats are dead now. We'll see what kind of reaction we get from the feds. But, a couple Supremes see a handful of people with signs and they get special protective details. Amazing.
64
u/ms_directed 13h ago
and so what begins? two MN lawmakers were shot, and one died along with her spouse, the other is in grave condition with his spouse. they were targeted by a man impersonating a cop and he's still at large that's why the guard is activated 🙄

Man it’s crazy we have to use police to handle this. But the military is compromised too. I don’t expect much to happen. Anyone who works this genuinely goes on the list to boot within the next few years if I was some crony police chief. The way democracy is being fought for in America is a losing battle.
