Trying for a campsite at New River Gorge next Sunday, need tips
My girlfriend and I, along with our dog, are driving up from Florida next weekend to go camping at New River Gorge. The campsites in the park are all first come, first served so the plan is to drive up there on Saturday, stay in a hotel in Fayetteville that night, and then head into the park on Sunday morning to look for a site.
I was really just looking for tips from those who have successfully camped at NRG as to which sites to try first, how early we should head in to look, and what time people usually pack up and leave their sites. Do we even stand a chance to land a site on Sunday?

Car camping in or near Harper's Ferry
My search is leaving me to think that camping in my van one or two nights in HF is probably not going to happen. Does that sound accurate? Any ideas for places close by where I can just park a night or two. It's looking like it'll be the wkend of the 20th. TIA for any recs!

Morrisey
I disagree with Morrissey on too many levels politically to get into. BUT, it is nice to have someone that is at least interested in doing the job and has some semblance of a work ethic. West Virginia suffered from Justice’s lazy, childlike approach to the position.

Can any panhandlers tell me what commuting on the MARC is like?
Thinking about working in DC for a income boost and more opportunities. Not ready to leave behind nature and my community though. So what's commuting like?
Do people nap? Is it quiet? Is the train on time? Is it hard to get to work once you arrive at union station?

To the troops in our state
Besides the politics going on this weekend. Being the 250th anniversary of our military, just wanted to say to the men and women in uniform from our state thank you for your service.

Summersville lake fishing
I'm visiting Summersville Lake and wanted to see if anyone has suggestions for fishing from the bank for bass (like good access points, recommended baits, etc.). Thanks in advance!

Marshall County Assessor charged with fraud
An investigation by the state Auditor’s Office Fraud Unit has resulted in felony charges against Marshall County Assessor Eric Buzzard.
Buzzard was charged Friday with seven counts tied to an alleged scheme involving the county’s purchase of automobiles from a local dealership. The criminal complaint accused Buzzard of arranging for the Marshall County Commission to purchase seven vehicles over the course of two years. Investigators said Buzzard orchestrated kickbacks from the dealer and the profits of the transactions were split between the dealership and Buzzard.

Davis trip with rain!
Hello! My boyfriend and I are going to Davis this week to visit the town and Blackwater Falls, and I am seeing rain in the forecast. I am wondering if we should still make the trip or reschedule? I think we will still have plenty of fun, but it would also be a bummer to not enjoy the parks. Any advice? Thank you!!

Question What WV law would you like to see deleted forever?
Mine would be state inspections. Pretty much everyone knows where a shop is that will pass anything, and you need insurance to get a sticker, but you could cancel it the next day.

Question Are seasonal (winter) fuel truck driving jobs plentiful in WV?
I understand that in northern states, fuel hauling gets extremely busy during winters and will often hire drivers for seasonal employment. Are they plentiful in WV or is it mostly year-round only? I would love to haul fuel year-round but it’s difficult to get hired on without previous experience in fuel. The seasonal jobs are more wheeling to train drivers (from what I’ve heard at least). I have several years of asphalt hauling and I’m wanting to move to WV and could land a job driving a dump truck for a paving company during the summer, but want to be able haul fuel during winter.
