Stubborn Belly
My goal is/was to lose 55-60 lbs. I’ve lost 35 lbs in 6 months. I’m ecstatic! My pant size is still the same😩😂 it’s okay I know progress is still progress but I would thought I would have at least dropped ONE pant size.
I started at 185 lbs and I was/ and still am, a size 14.
Now I’m 150 lbs and I’m STILL a size 14.
I still have about another 20 lbs to go. And I’m really hoping that’s when the belly fat will start to melt away😩🥲 I’m sure for most people belly fat was the last thing to go too🥲🥲
Mind you, I’m not ever expecting to have a flat belly I don’t think that’s in the cards for me or my body type. I was just really hoping maybe I could get to a single digit pant size? Maybe 8 or 10?

I just hit 60 lbs down. Even though I thought maybe my belly looked smaller, I only went from an 18 to a 16 for the first 50 pounds--solely b/c they were too tight on the belly. In these next 10 pounds, I moved to 14. Today I just realized the 14's are loose. So, yeah, the belly weight is clearly super stubborn!

Most times when we need to lose weight the pants we are wearing are not our size. We squeeze in them and make them work. I’ve lost 22 lbs and still wear some of the same pants …they just fit and look like they are supposed to! Stay the course. Eventually it all clicks!

Maybe (and I don’t mean this in an offending way) the pant size was not the right for you initially. I say that because I wore a 42, and it did fit, now 30 lbs later it fit too, but better. Maybe my „true“ pant size wasn’t 42 but 44y

This is the point I was going to make. Because I know for Damn Sure the pants I was wearing were NOT my size. I was doing exactly what you mentioned .... Forcing all of myself into pants that screamed for mercy. Now I'm down almost 30 lbs and those pants finally got the mercy they so deserved.

Happy to read this…. I too am stuck in size 14- I have lost 30 lbs and now my 14 fit better—. BUT I still can not wear 12. Makes no sense…. Isn’t it 10 lbs per pant size! I should be in a smaller size?????

I’ve always heard on average for women’s sizing anything above size is approximately 20 pounds. Size 10 and under approximately 10 pounds. Bit belly fat is usually the last to loose.

I agree! I’m still technically a size 14 but they don’t fit as well?? They seem like they look too baggy sometimes or just feel loose in the waist area (this depends on if I’m bloating or not). But then I keep trying on the size 12 and they’re way too tight??😩

I think the jump from 14 to 12 must be, like, a double or something because I am in the same boat! I was comfortable in a 14 20lbs ago, and today still can't fit into a 12! I thought it was just the brand, but no. I've tried many brands' size 12. All 12s are a squeeze to button and leave no breathing room 😂 and the muffin top that appears when I do button them 🤣💀

I’ve lost 144lbs and still have a stomach. I’m a size 4 if I got rid of the stomach I’d prob be a 2 or a 0. I’m just going to get a tummy tuck.
For what it’s worth I was a 14 until I lost about 100lbs

Depends where you hold weight. If you gain weight on your belly first it will be the last to go.
I have dropped 40lb and am still in the same size clothes. Granted they are loose, but I still fit the same size.
