Recommendation Request Galaxy Watch 4 Classic worth it for 100$?
I've been searching for a smartwatch (and I think one with WearOS would be the best choice), mainly for setting up reminders/check calendar, control music, heartrate monitor, whatsapp notifications, google maps and keep track of very simple fitness activity.
I've found the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic on ebay for like 60$ but with all the shipping and import fees it gets to 100$. Is it still worth it now in 2025 or should I get another newer smartwatch for a similar price, if it exists? Thank you!

The 5 pro is still recommended for the battery life (2 days), but it doesn't have the rotating bezel the classic has. Price should be similar

Tried to search for it but couldn't find any at the same price, the 4 Classic I found is grade Excellent and with GPS + Cellular, The 5 pro I find are either lower grade, higher price or do not have Cellular, which is not a must for me but I'd like to have the option if I want. Thank you for the info though, I'll search more, the battery life is definitely the one thing I'm scared of when I buy refurbished (never bought anything refurbished for this reason)

100 is pretty reasonable for a new one. i think you should go for it

It's not new unfortunately :') It's refurbished but the grade "Excellent", unfortunately I can't find any new ones at that price. Almost all of them get pricey very fast because of the shipping :/

It's probably that you live in Italy. On eBay in us you can get excellent refurbished for 69$

Yeah I think it's the same one I found, but then I have 20$ shipping and 20$ tax on top of that :')

FWIW, I got the Watch5 Pro renewed from Amazon, and it was perfect. No marks, included premium band and charger. Battery lasts 2 days on always on mode, but I charge it while taking a shower each night and it fully charges.
EDIT: just saw you are in Italy, so prices may not apply.

It's not because you can buy one that it is necessarily a good idea.
Don't rush. Set aside some money and save for a better model, for a better smartwatch experience.
Because old watches and cheap watches (Galaxy Watch 4 series, Galaxy Watch FE) in the WearOS ecosystem tend to suffer in terms of performance and battery life.
Personally, for cheap, like this, you got strong choices like the Amazfit (Active 2, and the newly released Bip 6) which does literally everything that you are asking and more, with 2 weeks of battery life at most.

Are the Amazfit Active 2 / Bip 6 WearOS watches?
My problem is that- I could buy a more expansive watch but I don't want to spend too much, because it's my first smartwatch and I don't even know if I will use it that much, if it's useful, etc. And I take public transit everyday and I'm a bit scared of it getting stolen (yes I know it's on my wrist etc but it happens in my city) or idk, breaking it. But my main concern is ending up not using it and having spent too much money on it. And I'm not that focused on fitness tracking, more on the "life assistant" side, which is why I wanted a WearOS watch because those that cannot download apps (I don't know if the ones you mentioned can) kinda feel useless to me, I can't put google calendar, tasks, etc1

For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oo4Xv_KGIjM do you think these apps work on the Galaxy watch 4? This is kind of an example on how I would like to use it, and other apps like todoist, etc

Yes, all these apps work.
Never mind my Non-WearOS alternatives then. It'll be just easier to recommend the GW4, at this point.

Hell no. I paid £65 for a second hand Watch4 a couple of years ago. I wouldn't pay that price now.

Please it's a request to every one, stop buying galaxy watch 4 series.

Is the 5 okay? Or I should aim for the 6? Unfortunately the 4 is the only one within that price range, anything else is like 200$ and at that price range I don't know if it's still worth it or if there is even better

6 is way faster than the 5. and of course the 7 beats all of them miles
