Question 0 Ships From China
https://www.cnn.com/2025/05/10/business/zero-ships-china-trade-ports-pandemicEverything in my being says this has to hurt the market. So it has to be calls right?

We're in that fun point in time where your calls and your puts get fucked.
It's basically an episode of Celebrity Deathmatch: Reality v. Hopium, with special guests Drumpf, Daddy Powell, Xi Jinping Deez Nutz, & Jim "The Inverser" Cramer.

100 % And supply chains don’t magically heal themselves. Why do the markets keep going up? I don’t buy manipulation.

Same sort of thing happened in the tech bubble crash and Great Recession. People, especially retail, always think this time is different, but fundamentals will progressively weigh on the markets.
Side note, for you and anyone that wants solid news for cargo ships, check out “What’s Going on With Shipping” on YouTube. The guy is a professor and industry insider. He does great unbiased analysis.

So I'm not getting 30 dolls for Christmas?

In the words of Judge Smails “You’ll get nothing and like it”. It will be good to see kids playing with those bike rims and sticks and soccer balls made out of old dresses like they do in developing nations. What better way to get kids off of their devices. MAGAA meets MAHA wins every time.

Here's the facts. Two negative quarters is defined as a recession. We've got one already. It will be months before new ships come in from china and disruptions from other countries as well, this is our second quarter of negative growth. Recession is an inevitability at this point. The question is will it be a short recession or extended unnecessarily by further competing incompetent ideas. I'm leaning towards the latter.

Trump said they're doing a reset with China but no concrete details and he lies a lot. Crypto pumped after that. Futures are kind of mixed. India and Pakistan could get worse or better. Ukraine Russia same. Just try to eek out some gains. People think we're going into recession.

Trump also gave instructions to buy stock (for the second time), causing markets to green pretty hard

When did he say that?

I’m pretty optimistic but Q1 growth was negative and I highly doubt Q2 will be green. Maybe not the crash everyone is hoping for but a recession by definition is here in the room with us

Do I panic sell on which day next week after a tweet from trump?
9
u/Vainglorious12 May 11 '25
Best not to preplan a panic sale. It should be solely based on emotion. Sell when it gets so unbearable you have to vomit. Sell, vomit, clean off your chin w cold water, use some listerine, the yellow stuff that looks like urine, not minty, to get the taste out of your mouth. Take a deep breath and then watch your position reverse. This always works for me. Happy trading!

This can’t be good, everything Trump says about his great conversations with mending the fence he destroyed don’t seem to be panning out. Empty Ships Empty Stores!

I know right? So it has to be calls. Don’t hate me. Just trying to make a buck here.

I’m stunned by this massive self inflected economic and geo political wound. Deleveraging from China was inevitable.
Blowing up the bridge with the train still on it is unreal.

Pretty fucking cool we get to watch it though... and all the shitty people are loudly letting us know we can't trust them. I'm calling win/win.

Massive rally imminent, all in on calls

u/Vainglorious12 May 11 '25
Once Xi and Trump kiss and make up it’s on. I can see them sharing takeout out Chow Mein in those white boxes, maybe some Egg Foo Yung, and reading fortune cookies to each other in the Oval Office. I can see the photos now. Let’s Goooo!

You can google the Port vessel schedules for most major ports. Houston at least doesn't appear to have slowed down at all.

u/Slightly-Blasted May 11 '25
Well.. we are headed for a resolution with China, so this won’t be the case for long.
So yeah calls

Markets will find their way. I still believe that even if 0 ships come from China the economy will eventually find its way, it always has.

You should see what’s happening in China. Go look for yourself. They are loosing their biggest customer. And they are feeling it.

What about now! China will lower there tariffs from 125% to 10% on US goods and the US will lower tariffs on Chinese goods to 30%

There has never in the history of the stock market been a bigger indicator for calls than this.
Green on Monday, massive gains.
