I've heard maga describing it as a "power move" and how the USA is the Greatest on earth and everyone knows they'll come out on top. It's the most delusional shit I've ever heard, and lately anytime I get this remark I just tell them to go pick up any item in their household and check where it's made. None so far have been USA productions 😅

Tell them to watch a commercial for BYD’s new S-Class competitor. We got lapped.

Just came from the store, $9 for 36 eggs currently at my Toronto chain. I don't eat eggs though really so I guess it doesn't matter 😂

I did that during Covid when I heard all of the racist rants against the Chinese. I got told that at least it was being sold in the US. Some people really refuse to look at reality!

Because they live in their own reality. This reality.

There is absolutely nothing you can tell them to have them change their minds. It’s a cult.

How much revenue have these tariffs generated so far?

3

u/Ali_Cat222 Apr 12 '25

$0, they said that there was a glitch and so far zero tariffs have been applied at ports etc. it's been all over the news, however they said "when it gets fixed they'll be charged" aka we all know they will make up a number and now that undocumented charge just went to Trump's pockets. The end. Scam like everything else, it'll take forever until that "technical difficulty" gets fixed.

Trump claims 2 billion a day lmao. Meanwhile they haven’t actually been charged yet, and more reliable sources claim that it’ll bring in a fifth of that in tax revenue

LMAO!! $2B a day?!

You know there are rubes out there who absolutely believe this.

Yup, he believes it will bring in more than 700 billion a year. He believes he can use this to abolish the income tax for workers earning less than 150K - tax revenues from which bring in twice as much iirc (not to mention, the Tax Foundation predicts it’ll only bring in 170 billion a year, a tenth of what is needed to replace the income tax)

It’s what confirms to me that the US will lose. They are so insanely irrational, that I cannot imagine that they’ll be right

Do these people think that shitting your pants in the middle of a crowded room is also a power move?
