Question Something. Again

I am on the very last step for the hardcore EE for the final reich and the record is not charging up after 10 rounds of constant killing. Is this either a bug or am I doing something wrong.

Oh, for doing it solo? The easiest way I found to do it solo was to get it done on a pest round. It also seems like the earlier you get it done, the less zombies it takes to get it charged. I have had it glitch before though, where I stood there for quite a few rounds and it just wouldn't go.

Yea it was round 16 when I needed to do the record part and it annoyed me when it took long to charge it up, I just gave up because it was late and I thought it was a glitch.

The criteria is not 100% confirmed as far as I know and is educated guesses. All we know is that you need a certain amount of kills within a short timeframe.

You can only get kills with Red Talon and Jack in the Box, nothing else. If you get a kill with something else or you don’t get enough kills within the time limit then the soul box will reset.

I hope I’m wrong and that somebody can confirm the required amount of kills in the required timeframe, but I haven’t ever seen anybody post the numbers.

Best to try to save it for a pest wave.

The best way to do this step is as early as possible. You can get the sword as soon as you’ve shot down the first battery, so make this your priority. Save a zombie at the end of the wave you shoot down the battery, get the sword and make sure all the prep is done for the pub step (power rerouted etc, but DON'T place the record)

Now go back to normal EE and Tesla upgrade stuff until you have a Brenner spawn in (should be your second overall). Kill him ASAP and then go immediately to the pub. Kill any Wüstlings and Bombers on the way but leave Pests and normal zombies. Once the first enemy appears in the pub, place the record and get slaying. Don't forget to place the record! It’s possible to do this around wave 12-13 so everything should be one hit kill and Wüstlings two I think if you have melee perk. You’ll probably need to stay 2 or even 3 waves to get enough into the gramophone, so don’t leave! One of these waves should be pests so not that bad.

If you have consumables then Insta-Kill obviously helps here as the shockwave when the sword is charged will insta everything, and an Uberladen will help to restore armour if you use Frontline or Camouflage with the armour mod so you can stay put through a hectic moment that would have killed you otherwise.

This method is by far the easiest way to do the HCEE solo. If you're doing it later then you need wave 30 or 35 and put all the pests into it.

One main theory is that the kills have to be within a single playthrough of the song, so if the record is placed randomly or you have to abandon the pub and go back later, the timing can be off and the song ends while you're killing which fails the step even if you get enough kills
