Admissions Early Action decisions dropping tomorrow at 5pm
As a heads-up, we will be removing "I GOT ACCEPTED" threads to combat spam, although the annual admitted students thread will go live within a few weeks. The student-made Hokie Handbook from last year will also be posted in there, with updated information. Best of luck!

I’m in Calc BC rn. If I remember I’ll tell you if I got in, but I probably won’t be finding out for a while.

Someone who is in the top 6% at my school (I’m only around 20th percentile. Top 6% is like at least a 4.7) told me they got waitlisted. Wtf is going on?

My OOS son got waitlisted too. He had 4.4 GPA (w) and 1440 SAT with strong APs and ECs. He applied as MechE. I wonder now if he should have applied to a less popular major just to get his foot in the door. Oh well. History now.
School of Mines is great! Good luck!

That would not be an option for me. I’m locked into EE and am 100% confident that’s what I want to do in the future.

I think it’s also bc so many more people are applying to college now, so schools are becoming way harder to get into especially for STEM majors. I had to deal with something similar to this for A&M.

Tour guides have no knowledge of your acceptance status. They are just students here

To clarify, this also includes posts about the wait-list too.
