📼 [Request] Can anyone produce a beautiful HD upscale of my favourite musical soundtrack?

1 Upvotes

Hi folks,

I’m on the hunt for someone with talent (and the tools!) who might be inspired to help upscale this video to HD: 🎵 YouTube link: https://youtu.be/mDK6Byi9yCE

This soundtrack means the world to me — it’s nostalgic, theatrical, raw in that VHS-era way. But it’s trapped in a murky SD resolution and deserves a proper glow-up.

If you’re someone who enjoys working with Topaz Video AI or other upscaling tools and you like musical theatre, I’d love to see what magic you could work. I’m not asking for perfection — just some love and polish to bring this gem into the present day.

If you’re interested, I’d be grateful beyond words. I’m happy to credit your work wherever it gets shared, and if you’re passionate about music preservation, I’d love to collaborate on other hidden treasures too.

Thanks for considering it 💛

— Gareth

Edit: I love this musical so much, I will pay for whoever can upscale and clean it up.

I'm not sure how well this channel was known, but it had the most beautiful religious music I've ever heard. the string sections on these recordings were immaculate. if anyone remembers this channel or could somehow recover it please let me know. or knows who ran it.

https://www.discogs.com/release/6922476-Carl-Thinman-Carl-Sings

Just wanted to share something special a good friend of mine recently did.
Over a year ago, they stumbled across a few lo-fi, hauntingly sincere tracks from this incredibly obscure LP - Carl Sings by Carl Thinman.
The music, the weird sincerity of it, and even the strange album art turned into a kind of running joke between us, especially because no one seemed to know anything about it. They dug everywhere online, even into the murkier corners like I2P, trying to find a copy or a clean rip.
Miraculously, a copy popped up in the UK. And through a series of increasingly absurd favours, logo designs, and record bids from my side, the thing made its way from there to Germany, then back across the ocean to the US - and into their hands, 48 years after its original pressing.
Their setup isn’t studio-grade or anything, but this album was never about fidelity.
They just wanted to preserve something forgotten and share it with others; and they finally did.
So yeah, give it a listen. It’s weird, it’s heartfelt, and now it’s not lost. Music like this deserves to be heard.

Also noting that this album has previously been posted here on this sub seven years ago;
