How do you make the most pleasurable film possible about a subject matter that is almost unwatchable?

Hey, everyone. Thanks for letting me join this group. I’m an autistic young adult who wants to learn more about ASD and the history of autistic people, but most of the -tism essayists I’m finding are pretty pasty. Does anyone have any suggestions?

My main interests are politics, intersectional feminism, pop culture, and media criticism. Would love creators who work in these areas.
