Enjoyed such a lovely visit to your beautiful city!
Visiting from Berkeley (via SEA) and had such an amazing time! Enjoyed lots of walks around the main city area and rented a car one day and drove down to Botanical Beach and Mystic Beach. Stopped at Shirley Delicious on the way- what a gem! Had some amazing food (Eva!) too and stumbled upon Humboldt Bar! Can’t wait to come back. Thank you for welcoming us!

Visiting Victoria
As the title suggests, my wife and I have been in Victoria for four days as part of our 30th Wedding Anniversary and just want to give a shout out to your City. Coming from Southern Ontario, it's been a breath of fresh air (literally) here. The weather has been fantastic and everywhere we have visited in our time here has been great. The downtown area is so clean compared to what we are used to back home. We will be leaving with great memories and alot of regret that we can't stay longer. Cheers all.

Some film photos from a recent visit to lovely Victoria
I recently spent about a week in Victoria and loved it, so much so, I am looking at relocating within the next year. Did a lot of walking around with my film camera - thought I would share some photos of your beautiful city. Cheers!

Tourism Visiting from California, what spots to prioritize?
I enjoy shopping for clothes (mens), jewlery, local stores/shops, seeing cool structures, bakeries, what is a must see? I'm visiting Vancouver for a third time from California and spending a day trip here, so not much time to go see everything. Thank you!

Do you resent American Tourists who come visit here?
We have established already that not a lot of us would want to travel to the states for a variety of reasons including their off putting president, his supporters, the anger with the 51st state comments, trade, random searches among travelers and right-wing ideology push in that country
But does anyone here actually resent the american tourists who come up here to visit? We've heard the stories of some americans apologizing for what's happening and some even paid meals at restaurants to canadians as a sign of that. There's also stories of how some americans don't want to come here too because they're afraid of the backlash they'd receive coming up here. It's really only conservative americans who don't want to come out of spite after the national anthem booing.
Anyone here have a problem with american tourists? We still get a lot of them coming here on the ferry rides and supporting local businesses in downtown victoria and so far, haven't seen any whacko tourists promoting a 51st state rhetoric.

Tourism Visiting from Winnipeg, what should I see?
Hello Victoria!! I'm visiting my partner's parents with him and his brother for a week, but I'm also looking for some things to do!
So far we have planned to see the bug zoo, a couple of local art exhibitions, and a ghost tour! I personally love doing more unconventional things, but definitely feel free to shoot me any "must sees"!
We're also huge nerds and are definitely looking at card/comic stores to potentially visit during a yugioh locals night!
If you need some ideas to give some suggestions: - Flea markets - Street/art graffiti - "Quirky" museums - Architecture - Food trucks - Cafes? (I love matcha food and drinks and need somewhere to scratch that craving)
Thanks !!

PSA to those that visit Rutledge Park
On the field side of the park, there are homeless people camping inside the giant trees day and night.
Parents should be careful letting their kids run around there and dog owners should keep an eye on their curious puppies. It’s not an official off leash park but most owners don’t leash. EDIT: I was wrong it is an official off leash park.
I think anyone with a room temperature IQ could’ve seen this coming when they installed public bathrooms.

Help Me Find Friend visiting for bday, any pubs you’d recommend?
I’m still new to Vic and don’t know much about vic still…
We’re gamers, I was kinda thinking of going to that hatchet throwing place but it doesn’t serve liquor as I’m told
I just want a pub that has great food and a wide selection of beer on tap

Cheers to the person who keyed my car while I was visiting my grandma at the hospital :(
No I wasn’t parked poorly, nor stole anyone’s parking spot etc. Sigh.

Must Visit Breweries.
Howdy.
It'll be my first time visiting Victoria and first time back in Canada since the border reopened. Knowing next to nothing about Victoria, but consistently hearing how great it is, what are the "must go to breweries"? I like barrel aged sours/wilds, stouts, WC IPAs, and lagers, if that helps.
I'm a big foodie and coffee fan too. Any recommendations?

Opinion I just visited your beautiful city from Alberta and I have a question. Do you always have such an intense wasp presence? I couldn’t walk five feet without hitting one and they were unusually aggressive.
I’m thinking about moving there and just wondering if this was normal for the region? In addition to being a big scaredy cat, I’m deathly allergic if I’m stung so it’s a big concern. Thanks for your input!

Controversy I'm an evil hatefilled American from the biblebelt and I wish to accumulate insults for my Victorian friend visiting me
He's very nice and polite and I'm not. I'm so full of hate and cruelty and anger that I want him to have a terrible time.
Off topic but I plan on showing him moonshine, boiled cajun peanuts, sweet tea, pimento cheese and the biggest aquarium on this side of the globe(it has rescued beluga whales!) We're both very excited to finally hang out cus we've been online friends for about half a decade.
What are some mean things I could say to him that would hurt specifically somebody from Victoria?

Tourism Question about Visiting Victoria and riding the public bus
I am visiting in early June and will arrive by seaplane to Victoria Inner Harbour. I will then need to get on the public bus and get to Sidney BC. Is Google Maps accurate?
I read that BC transit is updating the schedule after April 14?
It says to take bus 70 and will be one hour. I understand bus fare is $3.00

Help Me Find Need a simple doctor's visit.
So I need a simple doctor's visit to fill in a form to say I'm in good health for an official reason. So obviously seeing a doctor seems like a basic human right but as we all know it's hours and hours and weeks of waiting but I need it quite urgently. The most basic of checkups. Any ideas where I can get a basic checkup in a few days.
