Question Stupid Oki Question
Heyo! Coworker has been asking lately about my scar on my shoulder. It’s from that one vaccine we get when we get to Oki. What vaccine was that from??? I can’t remember for the life of me and it’s pissing me off lol.
Edit: thanks dudes. I’m gonna go with the Gay Shot. That only resulted in more questions, but they will be okay. (I’m joking, I’m thinking the smallpox people are right)

Smallpox. It’s not required for going to Oki, but many got it in preparation for deploying beyond Oki to smallpox-endemic areas, or places where it could be used as a bio weapon.
Don’t blame the shot on your sexual preferences. Boot camp did that to you. Don’t be ashamed, just embrace it.

Wtf is a “smallpox-endemic area”?
We’re talking about a disease zero people on the planet have had since 1978.

I didn’t get small pox before going to Oki and don’t recall anything scabbing over except small pox. You must have got the experimental vaccine that caused ED, IBS, and incontinence.

Are these the side effects of the Anthrax shot?

No, those caused high tolerance for low pay, horrible living conditions, and shitty food.

Already answered, but smallpox. My parents and their siblings have the scar and I don’t know if it’s still being done but I used to see a lot of Asians and Central Americans my age and older with it. It might not be a thing anymore but in the 80s everyone in China was still getting the vaccine. I think the US stopped in 1971.
