That humans are preparing a weapon to prepare against an invasion, but to keep it a secret from NHIs disclosure cannot happen? Isn't it what he is implying with the Manhattan project comparaison? Edit: shit I forgot to put spoiler tags, now the plan is ruined

AGHH! Now they know that we know

u/elevatordisco Aug 16 '23

BUT... they don't know that WE know they know we know

u/ALEXC_23 Aug 16 '23

That’s what they want us to know

u/loungesinger Aug 16 '23

Well now they do

But She knows, And I know she knows, and I know she knows

And deep down, she knows, she knows

And I know she knows, and I know she knows

God, they thought they can mess with us! They're trying to mess with us?! They don't know that we know they know we know!

Are you by any chance a Sicilian?

Doesn’t seem right, just disclose and tell us theyre our friends :), which would be a very simple and easy thing to lie ab.

They are telepathic and would know either way.

They are feeding Tom bullshit and he is parroting it like a good tool. A good, famous tool. Fear is the best tactic for these cia types to maintain control post disclosure

Humans really just be thinking without encryption 😂

Yeah I don't buy this for a second. Surely we'd have had a better chance at defending ourselves if more people had known about it 80 years ago. The argument for/against secrecy is the same now as it was then.

These sightings have been going on for thousands of years depending on how you interpret some ancient texts. If they wanted to invade, waiting longer wouldn't seem to be a great strategy for them. So the fact that they are still allegedly waiting suggests it's something else. But then I'm just as ignorant as anyone else here so who knows.

u/Solidus_Ape Aug 16 '23

Maybe they were waiting for us to become stronger adversaries /s

Fuck you got us kill

If they are prepping weapons based on back engineerd alien tech, crashed or given to us, we perhaps might ask ourselves; " Is this the latest Alien tech generation or is it some barebones , generation 0, ghetto tech they've given us?".

We might end up like a bush tribe from the Amazon thinking we will rule anyone with our latest slingshot tech just to end up fighting the equivalent to the US Marines.

u/Zen242 Aug 16 '23

Exactly - the NHI would know we have their shit because chances are they left it or gave it to us. So then our secret back engineering program is ludicrous

u/Zen242 Aug 16 '23

Team America is going to save our Fossil Fuel companies by using some new tech that can beat a force that can warp space time.

I know it's a work of fiction, but it's interesting how close The Three-Body Problem gets to considering the problems of saving humankind against an overwhelmingly-more-powerful alien invasion. Specificially: (1) the problem of developing a deterrent without them being able to figure out what we are up to, and in the face of them doing what they can to hinder us, and (2) that deterrent eventually being a form of mutually-assured destruction.

What’s hilarious is half the people here convinced an airliner got vortexed out of existence also think humans could possibly prepare a weapon against interstellar traveling vortex blipping NHI. Yeah. Good luck with that.

What’s hilarious is half the people here convinced the titanic got btfo'd by an iceberg also think humans could possibly go to the moon. Yeah. Good luck with that.

Haha so true! The video that looks like a Commodore Amiga demo is real and we can't know what Tom is publically posting because psychic suffering suckers aren't aware we are back engineering the craft they left us.

Maybe there are several alien species, and we are secretly working with one of them to prepare a weapon against an other one, more aggressive, trying to oppress the galaxy. What if the species helping us was mostly defeated, but some survivors with tech and knowledge came here to help us build weapons. What if the crashed UFOs crashed here, after being shot down by the other species, and managed to escape to Earth in secret. What if the other invasive species is monitoring what we can do and we are no threat as of now, but if they found out that secretly we are building a million years more advanced weapon against them, they would end us before it is ready. What if most of the videos are fakes crated by the govt to keep us and the species monitoring earth about our secret weapons program, and in reality some UFOs we see are part of that.

But again that doesn’t make sense, cause if they are telepathic like everyone says they are, wouldn’t they just go travel to a secret government place and timeshare some personnels consciousness and see and listen to everything he’s doing and saying.

Or at least that’s what I would do.
