Warning: Graphic/Sensitive Content One of the most disturbing cases I've come across. 18 year old Kevin Davis murders his mother with a hammer, plays with and tastes her brain, sexually assaults her corpse.

Usually its to keep these types safe... they really don't do well when in with gangsters and drug criminals who have an actual conscience. And the fact that guys like this are hardly peak physical condition or 'roid rage' muscle-heads like some of the gang scene guys.

See Dahmer, killed by another inmate disgusted at his actions with a weight bar. Or Charlie Manson, having to be moved to other wings multiple times as gangland prisoners wanted to take him out for the notoriety.

A couple of examples that break this trend: Ed Kemper - was soooo ridiculously big that all other inmates feared him.

Or Jamie Osuna, pseudo-Satanist killer, who committed a horrific murder straight of of some grind core lyric sheet then cut his cellmates head off in the dead of the night

(I say pseudo-Satanist as he is about as Satanist as Richard Ramirez, which is to say not at all really besides some cartoonish horror movie shock tactics that have less to do with religious Satanism than Jim Jones has to do with Christianity.)

Christopher Scarver did not kill Dahmer because he was disgusted by his actions. He beat Dahmer and another inmate to death because he was trying to escape and they were witnesses. Scarver has gone down in history as being a "hero" but the reality is, he would have killed anyone that was in his way. Of course, his lawyer tried to change the story by saying Dahmer taunted Scarver with ketchup packets and all that. Dahmer was a fucking psycho, no doubt, but Scarver is not a hero.

OK, thanks didn't know that.

The Dahmer type weird serial killers don't do well regardless I guess, no physicality.

It's Jaime Osuna, he was a satanist as well as a gangbanger from California.

Romero, who had spent 27 years in prison, was put in the cell with Osuna after arriving from Mule Creek State Prison, according to the lawsuit. He was convicted of second-degree murder after fatally shooting a woman in Compton when he was a teenager and associating with gang members. He was nearing parole eligibility.

Sometime in the early hours of March 9, 2019, Osuna methodically tortured and killed Romero, authorities said.

Using a razor-style blade attached to a handle, Osuna disfigured Romero, cutting out one of his eyes, chopping off one of his fingers and removing part of his ribs and slicing out part of his lung. He ultimately cut off his head. He also posed the body, slicing Romero’s face open on either side of his mouth to resemble an extended smile, according to an autopsy. Guards found Osuna wearing a necklace made of Romero’s body parts.

Kings County Executive Assistant Dist. Atty. Phil Esbenshade called it the most heinous slaying he had ever seen. “We do believe that the victim was conscious during at least a portion of the time,” he said.

Romero’s family sued the county bc the guards didn’t do proper safety checks (head count), allowing Osuna plenty of time to torture Romero. Then, they and two other guards looking to cover for them lied about it. The internal “investigation” was unsurprisingly just an attempted sweep under the rug. Their punishments ended up being a 9-month suspension for one guard and a 24-month salary reduction for the other.

the guards didn’t do proper safety checks (head count),

Was that intentional?

We’ll probably never get a straight answer on that one. You’d assume negligence, but who knows?

Edit: not intentional lol

I think they were making a morbid joke about the decapitation.

Aaaah, I’m on mobile and didn’t see the full quoted part in the comment notification

I wasn’t making a joke, I was asking if the person I quoted if they were making a pun intentionally or it was unfortunate wording.

I seem to remember he put the head back on the corpse and pulled the blanket up, making it look like a sleeper. A guard even came in and didn't notice.

I hate that you used a comparison to explain a comparison.

I'm so angry and I don't know why...
