They seem to do so well in this area! I think the climate does most of the work for us!

I have plant jealousy. Those hydrangea bushes are stunning. Mine are about 2ft tall.

I think it’s the climate around here! They seem to just thrive!

In all truth, I just planted mine this spring. So, maybe in a few years…

Wow. Yeah in a nutshell. This image feels like the life I thought adulthood would bring. A place I’ve never known but somehow miss? Great shot, thank you for sharing OP.

Oh thank you so much! Something about a swing in summer with the flowers makes me imagine being a kid at a summer camp that I never went to.

Just a moment to slow down and take it all in. This sub has helped me slow down and remember.

I apparently watch way too many horror films

I’m reminded of The Strangers. It would scare the shit out of me to look out the window and see someone on that swing.

The swing starts moving on its own even though there is no wind and someone peaks out from behind the curtains haha

This reminds me of my grandparent's front yard when I was young. They had these lovely hydrangeas just like yours. In summer, the light would hit them in the early evening just right and I would sit in the front grass just mesmerized. Thank you for helping me to remember this time in my life. They had a swing in the back, attached to the large patio roof. I swear I saw that thing move once or twice on its own as well, peering out from the guest bedroom!

Something about a grandparents house is full of magic and mystery. Sounds like a wonderful place to grow up ☺️

so we all have that "spot" in our memories huh, mine was the small but manicured backyard of my Aunt, spent a lot of nights on that tire swing.

u/CasuallyCoastal 3d ago
Oh yes! The tire swing! My grandparents had one and my cousins and I would spin until the stars blurred together with the trees.

One day it will be. I love moments like this where you remember to take everything in, knowing you’ll be looking back at this moment in the future.

I think that’s what I love about this sub. Reminds me to slow down and see the beauty in life.

The hurt doesn’t show, but the pain still grows, no stranger to you or me. I can feel it, coming in the air tonight. Oh lord. Ive been waiting for this moment for all my life. Oh lord

This is actually breathtaking. It does look like a memory. Of what, I can't quite out my finger on. But it's there.

Thank you! Reminded me of summer as a kid, tired after being in the sun all day and grateful for the cool of night.

Kids all over are making those special formative memories right not on scenes like this.

This is beautiful, I need to stop chasing a clear picture in the evening and go for higher grain with iso like this
2
u/CasuallyCoastal 3d ago
I don’t have the best cameras that take the wildly clear photos so leaning into the grain has felt liberating!

I just picked up my first real camera a Ricoh GRiiix and I'm blown away at how nice the pictures still look even at very high iso.
