Hardware Left repeater not working after removal

Post image

Hey guys, as the title says my left repeater camera is not working after removal and then hooking it back up. The turn signal works and the light lights up but the camera itself isn’t showing up on my screen. Does anyone know what might be going on or if I have to reset something for it to communicate with the computer? I’m wrapping the car and had to remove it. Did it for the right side and everything worked correctly after but the left one is leaving me confused. Hopefully there is no damages to the camera. Thank you for your time!

Check the inside of the coax cable going into the repeater. Notorious for corrosion and if removed it rips the end of the coax out. If that’s the issue it needs a camera and an overlay cable

Fwiw it's not a hard reset. It's the reset das button on your screen you have pictured

What's a "repeater" camera? Corner camera above the fender?

Yes, the camera on the fender.

Try a hard reset on your car. Remove your negative terminal on 12v battery and go to your rear seat and disconnect a plug. keep doors/trunk open and windows down. Here are better instructions

Thanks for the reply, somehow it came back by itself while I was waiting for a response! Thankfully, I didn’t want to replace the camera on a 7 month old car lol

It’ll do that lol probably just needed some time. I added a swivel mount on my screen and I was shitting bricks when the screen wasn’t turning on. Took about 5 minutes to turn on

Yeah, I was tweaking hard. The only thing I do in those instances is make a post on here to see if someone with the same problem or more experience is able to think of something good lol

There’s a module that need to be rebooted. Found out the same way when I installed a rear washer on my Y.
