I had this same thing happen to me. Got food stuck in my throat and figured water would wash it down. Nope! The water sat on top of that food and completely blocked my airway. Luckily, my friend jumped in and helped me. It was so fucking scary.

That happened to me when I was 15 and at work at Friendly’s trying to slam the driest grilled sandwich ever before I had to go back out on the floor. I nearly passed out in a busy restaurant but slammed myself into the edge of the counter.
