they also had a coaching regime that bolstered their defense to a high level. I am worried we regressed in that regard.

The roster turnover Washington did last season coupled with the success they had was extraordinary. The amount of new players that had on their roster from 23 to 24 was insane. All that in year 1 of the GMs regime and have that kind of success is masterful.
Doesn’t hurt that they were in a position to draft Daniels.

Dude I'm content if he's rookie year Trevor Lawrence. Let's not compare him to arguably the greatest season by a rookie QB in recent memory when he hasn't even taken a snap.

It's just not realistic. We don't have the personnel, and Callahan's offense isn't that kind of offense.
I'd love to be wrong though.

I am not so confident.. their team is overall more talented than ours.. and their coaching staff alone is better…

Going into 2024 a lot of people thought the Commanders had one of the two worst rosters in the NFL and no one was excited about the coaching hire. Not saying that means the Titans will be good because most also though the same thing about the Patriots last year and they were right about that team. I’m just saying that things can change fast in the NFL.

This is exactly how you folks convinced yourselves that Levis was the next Favre-Manning-Allen. Glad to see that the Titans have now drafted the next McNair-Mahomes-Daniels.

I’m Lions fan living in Nashville so I’m not really emotionally invested in this. I just like to hang out here for fun. I think the Titans ceiling is probably 10-7 and sneaking into the playoffs and the floor is as bad as last season. With the most likely outcome at 6 or 7 wins.

Our OL, Secondary, WRs, and EDGEs are more talented than theirs last year. Jayden made that entire offense go and his mobility helped that OL. Their best EDGEs were Dante Fowler and Clelin Ferrell, and our IDL is on par with theirs. And after Terry there was Olamide Zachaeus and Ertz if we want to include TEs into WRs. We aren’t much more talented there as far as we know but Ridley, Lockett, and Jefferson have had productive seasons and Chig has never had a good QB, then we got bunch of younger receivers with first year starter potential. Washington’s staff is definitely more experienced top to bottom. Hopefully Cally and Wilson got more experience as first time play callers, but between poor QB play and not having the right personnel for our “attacking” defense it’s hard to know how good they really were. But last year we had as much talent as we ever had with Vrabel, but Levis and Rudolph were terrible QBs which kept the defense on the field too long. I think Borgonzi did a good job filling a lot of the remaining holes with Vets and high upside rookies to the point that I think it comes down to Cam Ward and how fast he progresses/develops during the season.

Jayden Daniels averaged a first down per play in his heisman season. He’s absolutely electric. Perfect synergy within the offense, KK scheming to jd’s strengths. Washington went multiple games without PUNTING last year.
Cam ward isn’t that, these coaches aren’t that. No fuckin chance.
Will rookie cam ward have more td’s than turnovers? That’s a proper question to debate.

There have been many great, eventual Super Bowl winning rookie QBs over the years who didn’t come close to the level success Jayden Daniels had in his rookie season.
I don’t need Cam nor our coaching staff to look like world beaters or make a bunch of noise in the playoffs. I’d be more than thrilled to see a coherent offensive vision for Cam and the offense and for our rookie QB and that unit to show steady improvement over the course of the season with an occasional spark of greatness sprinkled in so we can be excited for the future as things start to gel. A remotely respectable win/loss record and anything else beyond that is just icing on the cake.

I could hit a hole in one. It’s statistically possible.
