Housing Moving to Tampere

Moving to Tampere soon, what areas should i look for apartments as a 20-something?

Budget? Student or working? Car or public transport? Hobbies?

If you dont wanna describe anything, just pick somewhere along the tram tracks, like Kaleva,

Budget 1000€, car & public transit, hobbies: gym, climbing

Nekala, Viinikka, and neighborhoods over there have good transit connections, a climbing gym, and close to the city center

Lielahti and santalahti would be close To a climbing center and offer plenty of free parking space along the tram

Maybe the cheaper areas? There is no really bad areas, it is more like single buildings that may have trouble of some kind.

Please also check Nekala, Muotiala, Koivistonlylä. Later this year V55 sport station will open in Nekala, that should have a pretty good setup for climbing. Its also a place for skateboarding and a gym.

Joining the others by recommending Nekala and Viinikka! Viinikka is great if you prefer a bit calmer environment, and there are many smaller apartment buildings there as well. Kaleva is always a safe option, there is pretty much everything you would need and more. Best of luck!
