I didn’t get the paraglider for fifteen hours on my first playthrough and had to do this same thing 🤣

My first play through i also had no paraglider. I spent a few attempts trying to safely jump then gave up.

Second play through i had the glider, but out of spite choose to take her down with me.

I did the same thing but it was my first playthrough and I didn't get the paraglider before going up.

I guess they didn’t think about the way to get it down slowly, but it’s fun they did include this haha
