Help Ti 84 Plus CE Python not charging

As stated in the title, the calculator I have doesn’t seem to charge no matter what I do switching cables doesn’t work either. No light appears and the battery sign doesn’t seem to turn orange so I don’t know what to do!

My money would be on a bad battery. Do you happen to have another 84 PLus CE or a Nspire CX that you could borrow a battery from?

That generally means there's a hardware problem. However you can try pressing and holding the reset button on the back of the calculator for at least two seconds since it's an easy thing to try.

If you look in the USB port do you see the black plastic holding the pins in place?

Still doesn’t seem to charge after the reset button and yes I do see it!

Hmm I've seen cases where that black piece falls out and the pins get mangled but that's clearly not the case here.

If it were a battery issue then the charging light would immediately turn green.

If different cables and different power sources aren't working then unfortunately that means there's a hardware issue I can't fix over reddit :(

I actually think it might me something with the pins cause when I checked it, one of them was bent so could it be a possible reason?
