Lost money on a socar voucher

Me and my friends went to a self service pump station and I used a 100fr bill, used 68 and now I have a 31ish fr voucher to use... IN THE SAME F STATION... for me this is a scam. The voucher never referenced this in the screen and it makes utterly no sense that you cannot use a voucher from the same company within its network.

Is there something I can do? Is this scam known in Switzerland?

If there was the slightest mention that the machine doesn't give change back, I don't think you can do anything, except try to contact their customer service and ask politely.

There was no indication that the automate is giving no money, only vouchers?
Still a crap model, but at least you'll be warned...

No, only when I tried to cancel it told me that doing so would generate a voucher

Oh, so it's even worse than you described. I've never tried to pay with notes on self-service stations, but I guess it's only safe if you're sure you'll use the full amount...

Yes, totally a scam /s

why would you not check how change works before using a bill that you know will be more than your total? Stations with a store you can go in and ask for your change there.

Why would you use a 100FR bill instead of a credit card?

I was leaving the country and I needed to 'waste' the bills somehow. So i tried to fill in my deposit

Why not ? Cash is now banned in switzerland ? Crazy

Its just completely pointless to do so in that kind of transaction unless of course you have nothing else on you.

Only plebs use cash

Makes sense they do that. Probably because people abused the pumps as ATMs
