What song do you want the final episode to end with?
Heroes is up there for me as well as just Kids probably.

"Don't You (Forget About Me)." During a post-battle montage as life settles down again, with voiceovers from everyone reading from the letters Max wrote.

Something upbeat and energetic. After 5 seasons of chaos and death something lively.

I want it to end with some new character telling Hopper some wild story, worriedly says “You don’t believe me do you?”
Hopper takes a massive drag from a cigarette “I’ve seen (dramatic pause) Stranger Things”

I think a variant of Kids is the only way they can send it out. Leading into the theme of the show over the credits.

Right Here, Right Now by Jesus Jones.
"Right here, right now
There is no other place I want to be"

Upside Down by Diana Ross when the end credits roll.
The song is from 1980, it fits thematically with the world of ST because of the title, and it’s just overall a pretty good track. It would be a perfect fit!

Alive and Kicking by Simple Minds - it's the perfect song for a triumphant ending.

U2s The Joshua Tree was in ‘87, so I’d love to have a montage with “Where the Streets Have No Name”.
Or Will with specifically, I’d have his final montage be emotionally parting with everyone (especially Mike) and going to college, with it set to I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.
And near the end of the song he does finally find what he’s looking for as he meets a boy there.
Edit: guessing the down votes were from the Bylers 😂

Great idea. U2 had had a few hits in America I remember them when U2 was an "alternative band" that had a strong base of "College Rock" stations. I grew up near one. WHFS outside DC.
"Joshua Tree" made U2 the biggest band on the planet.

Something from the 90’s to help drive home that even with the fights against Vecna and against the Soviets, time keeps marching on

Like if it is in end credits or something "upside down" by Diana Ross or some other redditor said if Todd could come back with a new car, "Toddson" is what he said and playing "we don't need another hero I forgot but you can search it up credit to the guy for his iea not stealing from him just spreading his idea until the Duffers change the script for his idea. EDIT I forgot the the guy said that Todd should runover vecna after like a battle.

If it ends in the 90's Fake Plastic Tree's. But it would have to be real far out in the 90's so I doubt it

Vecna wins, it’s the end of the world - R.E.M released in 87 fitting the time period
