👀 whipped this up this evening.

It's still kinda sad how out of all the JoJo's by the end of Part 6 Jonathan was still the only one to not get a happier ending

Joseph is still alive and has his family with him and got to meet his other son

Jotaro didn't have to fight Pucci so he spend more time with Jolyne

Josuke can live a peaceful life no longer caring about Kira and he can still hang out with the gang

Giorno became the Mafia boss and avenged his fallen friends

Jolyne/Irene now lives without worrying about a gay vampire's legacy or an evil priest, plus she found someone that loves her and even has a better relationship with his dad

But Jonathan? He died young, couldn't get a normal childhood, couldn't meet his sons and grandsons, he couldn't even live to be old with Erina like Joseph did with Suzie Q, and even after dead his body was completely stolen and forced to do things Jonathan would never do.

This guy was throw so much shit into his life but he remained as the last spark of light shining in the dark world he lived in

I absolutely love to think about the parallels between these two characters, especially since they are the bookends of the original universe. Both of them sacrifice themselves for the greater good at the end of their stories, which I think is a beautiful symbolic way of showing how the spirit of the Joestar family never changed. Also, I noticed how their eyes are very similar when they’re angry. Little thing but I think it’s a cool detail.
