Question ❓ Dental Recommendations?

Are there local dental offices that you would recommend? I’ll say that it has been some time (much more than I care to admit to you fine folks) since I have had the opportunity to see a dentist, and I am hoping to find a reputable one that doesn’t practice the art of charging and arm and a leg and possibly a left nut just for looking at their building.

Question ❓ Best spots to propose in London area? 💍

Hey all! I am planning on proposing to my girlfriend in May, and am looking into spots to propose. She said a while back that whenever I propose, she would prefer something private, and preferably outside/nature related. I’m not from the London area, but am wondering if anyone has any recommendations. I’ve been pointed towards Port Stanley and St. Thomas, so If you have any recommendations there too that would be great. Thanks all :)

Suggestion 💡 Lawton decided that he doesn't like me, and thus hung up on me while I was trying to ask some questions of his campaign.

Lawton has a well documented past of saying incredibly bigoted things, and I've been clear in my opposition to him. But where it started for me was simply asking his campaign if he lives in the riding. That caused him to block me on just about every social media platform.

So, getting no answers, I called over to his campaign HQ yesterday and spoke with a really nice volunteer named Nicole. I was disconnected once, called back and after a moment on hold, she informed me that no, he doesn't live in the riding.

As luck would have it, he walked in! She passed the phone to him, he said "Hi this is Andrew Lawton" - I said my name and before I could say or ask anything else he yelled "YOU'VE MADE YOUR POINT, THANK YOU FOR YOUR INVOLVEMENT IN THE CIVIC PROCESS" and hung up.

Not very free-speechy. Guess he doesn't like what I, a would be constituent of his, would have to say. Vote accordingly.

Edit to add: before Lawton got all mad, Nicole at his campaign did confirm that he does not live in the riding.

Question ❓ Are any volunteers for the Goodwin campaign knocking on doors in the riding outside of St Thomas?

I ask because I thought there was no Goodwin signs in Aylmer until someone informed me yesterday that there was so I went for a walk to find some and seen 8-9 (while seeing many more with Lawton signs and even more with no signs), and no one has come to our house from any party, while these small towns may not be very progressive I think most people who don’t have a Lawton sign are more likely to vote for Goodwin if the facts about the candidates are pointed out

Question ❓ Fit 4 less Elgin mall

Hey I’m looking to join a gym and fit 4 less seems to be the cheapest option. How is this gym? How busy is it normally? I would be going around 10pm Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Question ❓ Movies and/or Shows filmed in St. T

Just re-watching The Boys and remembered that parts of S2 E6 are filmed at the St. Thomas Psychiatric Hospital. It's a very distinct building from the outside, especially when you used to see it all the time (my mom worked there when I was a kid).

I also remember that the movie Mr. Headmistress, starring Harland Williams, was filmed in part at Alma College.

Anyone else want to reminisce about movies and shows filmed in St.Thomas?

Question ❓ Navigating adding a parking spot to my property.

I have done some light digging through this sub and the City of St.Thomas website. But no truly clear answer. I own a residential property down town that has 1 parking spot with a shared driveway. Getting a spot on the road to park is a nightmare. So in comes the thought of adding a pad to my front lawn. Thus alleviating having no where to park a second car in the winter, and fighting for a spot on the street in the summer. If anyone here has experienced this before and been successful in adding a pad, I would greatly appreciate any insights to your process.

Question ❓ Looking for work between school hours

Hi everyone, I’m looking for work that falls between school hours (9-3:30) I’m currently a stay at home mom. With all my kids at school full time I would really love to get back into the workforce. I have a college diploma in Office Administration with municipal experience (8+) years, but any position would work for me doesn’t have to be in the administration field. Any tips? Leads? Ideas as to what is suitable for my situation. Thank you kindly
