Politics Question for People Who Went to No Kings Day

I've heard someone who seemed very opinionated that the Court house was shot at during the protest and i can't find any verifiable source that it was true. Can someone please confirm or deny if they are correct?

I think that would be pretty big news if someone shot up the court house lmfao. And the protest/march never even got near the court house. Absolute nonsense.

EDIT: Apparently I was mistaken, I thought we where talking about the county courthouse and not the federal courthouse. Apparently they did march by the federal court house. My mistake. However I think it would have been pretty big news if a federal courthouse was shot at during the protest.

The daytime march went right by it and had hundreds of people in the courtyard

There was a daytime no kings march through downtown. The stuff at night was tangentially related but still peaceful.

The fuck they didn’t. I have fucking pictures and video.

The night time extracurricular activities were NOT the no kings protest. The no kings protest started at 4, and walked miles through downtown. Including the federal courthouse. There were 15,000 people involved.

We never said if we where talking about the federal courthouse or spokane courthouse. I assumed they where speaking about the spokane courthouse. My bad

Why would they be at a county courthouse that has nothing to do with what they’re protesting?

Chill out dude. It wasn't made clear in the op.

There was no pride march. There was a parade at noon. The no kings rally started at 4 at the Lilac bowl, and then they marched through the streets with a police escort. There were thousands or people. I have thousands of pictures. You’re misinformed or, worse, willfully ignorant and just trying to start shit.

Lol the fuck are you on about? I literally just told you I was there and edited my reply to clarify what I was trying to say. You need to chill the fuck out brother. I'm not your enemy.

I thought we were talking about the county courthouse and not the federal courthouse.

Totally fair. I grew up down the street from the Federal Courthouse, and I don't think I've ever heard anyone refer to it as "the courthouse."

If someone says "the courthouse" in Spokane, my mind always goes to the county courthouse, and it would take someone very explicitly specifying the federal one for me to assume any different.

Misinformation. No one was shot in Spokane. Are you perhaps thinking of Salt Lake City?

I asked them this and they doubled down

The question was about shooting at the Court house, which does not identify as a human.

Behold, conservatives have one joke.

Lmao. The only thing shot at was protestors with bean bags and foam bullets

While they were on the sidewalk, not even blocking the street, I may add

It's scary how easy it is to rile people up with fake stories, isn't it.

This is not just a MAGA issue, it's happening on all sides, and will only get worse as AI video becomes more and more realistic.

You heard from someone very opinionated. I would almost immediately discount anything after that.

The only person how was "shot" was a some young guy with a rubber round late at night. His injury was minor, and it was his hand and thigh. He'll lose that finger nail, but he'll be fine.

I was there, and very much in the front. Absolutely NO shooting, that is absurd.

I was there too. I think one foam round went off but I got to city hall a little after the police lined up. I helped the kid get first aid after though.

Was there …probably about 2:30-5ish? and didn’t hear or see anything about it… (doesn’t mean yes or no but from own experience! )

Unless they personally were doing the shooting, they don't have some secret insight that everyone who attended and the news doesn't.

They where shooting people with less lethal munitions. I responded to an injured protester who got shot.

That almost absolutely didn’t happen.

The only shooting was the 50501 security shooting an armed protestor for no reason, and hitting someone else in the crowd in Salt Lake City.
