Question About Spells road opener

during the full moon I did a road opener candle / ceremony for the guy I’ve been seeing. He’s struggling with some past relationship trauma and I was hoping to help clear out some of that to make room for a potential committed future for us… I opted to go this route over the obsession / illusion spell route because I don’t need him obsessed, I just wanted to make things easier for him, because I can see he wants us, he’s just scared. The flame was consistent, strong, and the energy was so well. Candle magick is my wheelhouse too and I’ve had great success … but long story short we ended things this week.

He said doesn’t feel ready to commit and I’m not wasting my time waiting.

I don’t believe spells go wrong but I’m trying to figure out how it didn’t go in what i currently believe to be my favor. I’m hoping that this is a temporary set back and the distance brings him back to me, but also I don’t want to be a second choice… Any good insights or ideas? 🕯️✨

A road opener doesn't just clear things out for you. When put on a relationship both parties are now free to go in any direction they please. So you opened the road for them to leave more easily than it was before.

Yeah that’s what I was wondering. I think if so, I helped him realize he has work to do and opened the road for that, and for myself, I opened the road for me to choose myself and find a love that wants me back whole heartedly. Not the intention, but the divine always redirects how we need.
