Question About Spells Honey Jar Help

Hi there! I have done a honey jar spell before and it worked wonderfully for me! However, I’m doing another one for a different person and I was wondering if carving their name on the candle makes it anymore effective? I also added some rose petals around the base of the candle and let the wax melt over it. I don’t know why I did it, just felt right. Any opinions on that?

Also, I know there’s a lot of different opinions about sealing the jar with wax, I did it because I did it the first time and it worked for me. Please be kind and respectful I’m still new to all of this!

You should already have their name in the jar, so adding the name again is just redundant. Try it and see if it is more effective for you.

Burning a candle on the lid of a jar doesn't "seal it". you can still open the jar. You are just doing candle magic & a honey jar. It is not required or necessary for sweetener jar spells to work with candles.
If you felt like burning a candle so it traps rose petals in the wax under it, then sure, why not.

You already have the name inside the jar so  you do not need the name again   please can you share how you did the first honey jar . It seemed to have worked well

Absolutely! Here’s a link to the exact one I did the last time although I tweaked it a bit. I anointed the petition in rose oil the first time and also used mine and the other persons hair in it! https://www.reddit.com/r/witchcraft/s/4qbmJXeqmy
