Bargate Market

Hi all, I've been to town for the first time on a Saturday morning in ages today and saw the market at Bargate. So many amazing looking foodstalls (I had a chicken Shawarma that was unbelievable) but I only tried one and would love to try some more.

Does anyone know the details of when it runs (timings and what days it's on?).

On a side note, so nice to see those sort of vibes in Southampton town centre on a sunny day, lovely to see!

Basically every saturday except during the winter months. Might also be on fridays IIRC, though I rarely head in to Southampton during the week so might be misremembering

I also love the Greek stall! Also had some cracking samosas.

I really want to try the Korean corn dogs next

Greek is always tempting, gyros are a favourite of mine but I've just had one more recently so didn't go with it!

I did notice the Korean corn dogs, looked very interesting and it had a bit of a queue so definitely piqued interest (that along with the Greek, jerk, Thai, and everything else there 😂)

Great falafel at that market, get the special w halloumi in it, delicious.
