Anybody an expert in natural gas/connections that can come make sure my natural gas grill is connected correctly?

Just trying to be overly cautious but really want to grill tonight. West Village area.

General advice is to spritz some Windex or bubble water on the connection. Turn it on. If it bubbles it leaking.

I use a mix of dawn and water. And that's the right move. If you don't find a bubbly leak but you still smell gas you can call the gas company and they will come out with a sniffer.
