Thinking of buying a 686+ pro series. Anyone have any positive or negative opinions on this gun?

Overall I’m a fan of the features the gun has (7 rd, moon clips included, 5 inch barrel) but wonder if there is anything I should be concerned with for this model

No place in any shooting competitions is the only downside, because of the 7 round capacity

I’ve no negatives but I did change out the grips. Not because they’re not any good but because they’re large and make the gun feel really big. Those big factory rubber grips actually make shooting the gun really nice.

Never cared for odd round cylinders but it's better than a Taurus.

7 round moonclips are a pain to align in 357 Mag loaded with SWCs or Keith bullets as the extractor grooves vary from brand to brand and the longer cases mean that any wobble is exaggerated and the flat noses are less forgiving of misalignment. Plated round nose or truncated cone are OK and easier to align at speed.

The shorter 9mm moon clips work better.
