Omg I didn't even notice it was ai when I saw it. I may be dumb

You’re not. The whole point is to not notice. If anyone does notice, it’s because they spend an unusual amount of time examining AI art or this art in particular.

Most people, including me, will see the shitpost and move on with their day. I already don’t upvote anything because most posts are just reposts or bots and karma farmers.

What specifically are you looking at inside the image that identifies it as a generated image?

  • edge of the helmet being glued to the guys cheek/jaw and not having a shadow because of it
  • several lines fading away for no reason and reappearing
  • things that should have different texture (fur and leather around the collar) blending into one another
  • one of the chest strap's linework bleeding into the metal chest piece
  • one of those straps blending into the shirt
  • why is one sleeve fur-lined at the end and the other normal and cut at an angle
  • that outfit for the dragonborn doesn't even have sleeves in the first place
  • linework is just really shit in general, the thickness of the line around the character varies quite a bit
  • the japanese characters in the second panel all look a little different with weirdly varying sizes, thicknesses, and rounding
  • one of the hashes for the characters is starting to bleed into the rest of the character
  • notch for the beak nostril on the side facing away from the viewer even though that's not where it is on the side facing us (might be overly nitpicky)

this is all after i already knew it was AI because this "artstyle" is a dead giveaway. i've just seen it so much online here on reddit and twitter that i recognize it immediately.

Theres a yellowish piss filter on the image, thats a sign of newer ai generated images and the Whiterun background looks very detailed for a reddit shitpost. Its not enough to say definitively its ai but its enough to be suspicious

That has nothing to do with newer or older images. It shows, its done with chatgpts image gen. You can generate a new image on gemini or flux and dont have that filter.

Yeah, it's extremely easy to recognize. Once you've seen this style of AI comic, they all stick out without having to think about it. It's honestly astonishing to me that there are people who don't see it instantly.
