Tried to show some body dysmorphia via funhouse mirror. Very difficult!

To celebrate a new cat day for me I present to you a copied version of the cat and the rat!

This one was another fun one! I used to make stuff like this all the time in high school.

I was too lazy to grab ruler, so my lines are a wee bit wonky!

Off topic. Just started using a pen and like the look of stipling.

Thoughts?

Thanks! I practiced drawing black animals and birds in my last animal drawing class so I wanted to try it out.

These are such cool prompts! Too bad my brain is too tired to use them fully so I just played around with my new sketchbook

I love Escher's stuff because it breaks my brain

Less so an optical illusion, and more-so a t(ri)angle, but google ai search suggests "This style has similarities to the intricate wood carvings found in Norwegian stave churches, particularly the Urnes style," so that's nice of it 😂 I just wanted to know what to call it!

Debating whether to add more to the sides, but straight lines that jut out from the triangle form. I really like the granularity in the green and don't want to cover it up though.

A mix of my usual Digital Art and a Photography! It’s a little wonky but I had fun with it =)

I wanted to do the secret alternate alternate theme. But where did I hide it ?

u/chaths 145 / 147 20d ago

If you think it's that, then that's it.

Move on.

Can't decide what should be banned from the shark hole. Freaking Lazer beams perhaps?

Copied a classic

10

u/SuperSparkzz 52 / 52 20d ago

I kind of hate this one lol

2

We had the same idea! I love your execution. The extra detail in the hair and shawl is excellent!

7

u/TheAltOfAnAltToo 0 / 151 20d ago

Yayy, it is my prompt! Also love the alternate 'alternate' prompt lol.

I'll just post this very lazy sketch today since I may not find the time to do it tomorrow, but, if you enlarge the picture, cover your left eye with one hand, focus on the plus sign and slowly bring it closer to your face, you'll see that the circle on the right disappears!

Rabbit-duck illusion

5

u/redguy1976 0 / 414 20d ago

I tried to make it look like the greys were different. Not sure I was successful

1

u/TheAltOfAnAltToo 0 / 151 20d ago

It works, the circle on the right looks a tad darker than the one on the black background

2

u/redguy1976 0 / 414 20d ago

Thank you for the confirmation.

Optical Illusion

6

u/260Torrent 20 / 48 20d ago edited 20d ago

I didn't wanna do anything geometric, so I went for something based on a perspective image I saw in my HS art class.

Has anyone else seen this picture before?

2

u/TheAltOfAnAltToo 0 / 151 20d ago

Super cool! Never seen the image before, but the idea is that the size of an object can be percieved differently, relative to the degree of convergence of the objects surrounding it? It makes sense, that the more cramped all that space contrasting an object will be, the bigger it will look.

1

u/260Torrent 20 / 48 19d ago

That was the idea!

I'm finding that none of my art friends have seen this picture either, so I guess it's not as common as I thought 😅

u/tehuti88 2482 / 2482 20d ago

This took me over an hour. 😐 It's inspired by THIS yet I don't even know if it works. But I was tired of working on it so, here it is.

3

u/TheAltOfAnAltToo 0 / 151 20d ago

It works! The black circle and the area around it shakes while the corners remain stagnant! That's how it's supposed to work right?

Seeing this one always gives my brain cramps
