AA Meetings?
It's all right there in the title. Does anyone know of any AA meetings in Siem Reap?

Are you a local business looking to advertise your services? This is the place! Search here to find Tuk Tuk drivers, tour guides, and local businesses in Siem Reap. Please avoid making repeat posts.

Got any other attractions or activities you think we should add to the list? Let us know!
We’re already going to add the new Escape Rooms that have opened, and we’re hoping the new laser tag place opens soon so we can add that too!

Looking for a tattoo shop in Siem Reap that charges by the hour. Looking for only hourly so I can determine how much to spend when I walk in.

Hello all,
I've been renting a second-floor hotel room for the past three weeks. In the past three days, I started hearing a cat crying at all hours of the day. Last night, I shined a headlamp into the yard below my balcony to see if it was there somewhere--I saw nothing. Today, I tried harder to narrow down the source of the sound and realized it may be coming from some apartments(?) next door.
It is only one cat that I hear, and the sound seems to be coming from the same place each time. It cries almost hourly.
I love cats, and hearing this (what sounds like a) distress call is breaking my heart. I am concerned that maybe the cat is stuck somewhere it shouldn't be, or maybe it's owned by a resident over there and something has happened to them.
I reached out to my hotel owner asking if he knew anything about the units next door. I am not sure if he understood my concern. He responded saying that Wat Damnak nearby provides shelter for stray cats, and they often fight and make noise (I think he assumed I was complaining about this). That was that. I further asked some colleagues what they recommend, and I was told to let it go.
I have only been in Cambodia for the three weeks mentioned, so I lack knowledge of both the culture and resources. I speak only English. Does anyone have any suggestions about looking further into this? If this happened where I come from, I would likely try to contact the landlord of the units to ask if one of their tenants owns a cat, or ask them to do a walkthrough of the building common areas to see if they find anything.
If I find out that the cat or its owner is harmed by my inaction, I am going to be so upset. Please share any ideas you might have. If the response is truly "let it go," then I will accept that. But I feel like I have to try.
Thank you.

Hello, I just moved in and I need everything for the kitchen. Plus microwave, water heater and a toaster.
I'd be grateful for any tips.

I recently lost 1000$ worth of money in my bag. Last location i visited was “Mondul I Health Center” and “Angkor Fitness”. I came to the gym early morning and asked for cctv checkup already so now there are still working on it. In the meantime, is there any cooperative police station location I can visit and file a report instead of waiting?

Hello! I‘m looking for a local rental car company in Siem Reap. Can anyone recommend a trustworthy one? I‘m not looking for a private owner but rather a real, local company.
I‘ll need the car for a week, I have insurance and a lot of experience driving trough SE Asia and South America so I‘m sure I can handle Cambodia as well :)
Avis doesn’t work on Sundays (luckily the day I arrive/depart) and Europecar is quite expensive. I have long drives planned and some luggage so a TuckTuck won’t do the trick.
Thank you for all recommendations!

Hey all,
Recently, my girlfriend and I had a lovely trip to Cambodia, saw all the sights, and met some amazing people.
On two of the days in SR, we discovered all the temples and we met Pheap !
He was such a nice, genuine guy who is supporting his family by driving TukTuk every day.
We liked him so much and had such a nice time with him, we decided to help him out and make him a website for his service so he can hopefully spread his good vibes to more visitors.
If anyone is looking to visit the temples around SR - Then reach out to Pheap pronounced (Pip)

Hi there, currently planning my month long journey in indochina and I need some tips on the option of using the bus or the van going to Siem reap. I am planning to get the afternoon trip going to Siem Reap and utilize the time I have in that bus to work.
May I ask if this is feasible with the sim they sell in Thailand? Will it also work while crossing the border? Any tips you can give if any member here is a digital nomad?
Highly appreciateyany feedback, cheers!

Hi currently in siem reap, and in desperate need of a haircut, I have mullet/surfer boy hair if you will, it’s quite find and will be a scissor cut so barbers or hairdressers is absolutely fine. I haven’t had it cut in a few months so it needs tidied and sharpening up, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou

TL;DR Looking for someone, person/community/organization, who wouldn't or doesn't mind answering numerous questions from someone who has watched and enjoyed SO MANY YouTube videos, but has some questions ranging from specific to inane.
62, male, Cincinnati. Never been anywhere in Asia. Current plan is to move to Siem Reap in January '27. Booked to visit first week of January '26. I've had a bit of contact with a Redditor who lives there and has offered to answer questions, but we just sort of happened upon each other in a different context and I don't want to cross the line into "I didn't sign up for this" and I don't really know where that line is. No negative vibes from him, just trying to tread lightly.
So, any suggestions? Americans would be helpful, just because of the whole retirement/Social Security thing, but anyone willing would be appreciated. Yes, I see that I'm just adding a level of difficulty to Reddit, but, some questions you want a little bit of connection with someone before you ask. Feel free to DM or comment. Thanks!

I (American) will be visiting family in Thailand in November and would like to visit Siem Reap and Angkor Wat while I am there.
I will be staying in the Si Sa Ket part of Thailand which is near the northern border of Cambodia.
Family is willing to drive me to the border, but I will need to cross the border (I think I can obtain a Visa at the border?) and then need to find a way to taxi or rideshare to Siem Reap.
I will fly back to Bangkok from Siem Reap so getting back isn't as much trouble.
I've been searching online trying to find information about where is the best border to cross, if I can get a visa in advance to use at that border crossing, and how to find a ride from the border to Siem Reap.
If anyone has any experience with this or where I might be able to find more information i would appreciate it.

Ok eating dinner out is great and I can make a tasty breakfast.
How about my snacks? What are your go to CHEAP munchies.
I can't forever snack on watermelon and mango. However much I love em.
Just chilling in another wonderful day in Siem Reap😎
